yeah spongebob just takes up 79% of the timeslots along with icarly
and oh my god what new episodes i see like 5 in one week or 1 holiday special then 8 years later another one is realeased. and yes i enjoy the old spongebob better than the new ones, i did like squidwards tiki land (new episodes) but all the others suck. you know not even the real director is there it's just some retard who thinks he can write why did they fire him? give me one good reason nickalodeon i mean nick?

Spongebob isn't going to die, the show (and specifically Spongebob himself) has already moved into the pop-icon zone. I'm sure most people can recognize most characters on the show. The show is also popular in Japan, which is really hard to pull of by a western show.
When a channel has a show that popular, it's extremely hard to stop it. For all Nickalodeon is concerned, they can make the worst Spongebob episode ever and have it still dominate over all the other animated shows they produce. I remember watching Spongebob when I was a kid. I don't watch it much anymore, except when my sisters want to. From the couple of episodes I have seen, I have to say, the show is getting ridiculous. At least the episodes from before weren't as farfetched. Now they're having weird episodes that probably make hardly any sense to the 5 year olds watching it now. -------------------- |

There's a lot of things people just love to remember from their childhood, and for me, Spongebob is undoubtedly one of them. The idea of Spongebob being anything less than completely awesome in every way is just unimaginable. I'm sure that no matter how old I get, Spongebob will remain up there with Drake and Josh and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (probably the best kid shows EVER!).
