I'll swim anywhere... ocean, lake, river, pool... I prefer the natural sources of water most though... but pools tend to be more available and convenient. Either way, swimming is really fun, so I'll do it anywhere I can.

I would swim in the pool, because it is a lot cleaner than a river, and I could practice there without the current pushing me away the whole time. Now I just need to learn how to swim.

I had to debate long and hard about ocean and river.  I would LOVE to swim in a river because I think feeling the current would be really nice and refreshing.  In Alaska, we sometimes went fishing and were dragged into the rivers by large salmon.  I always loved it.

On the other hand, oceans are so huge and impressive.  And you can easily see so much of the aquatic wildlife. I remember swimming in the beaches of Florida as a little girl and getting so excited because I almost caught some of the fish!

I like swimming in a pool.  Swallowing chlorine water is okay, I've gotten used to it.  Ocean water is the worst though.  Yuck!  I can't handle that stuff, it tastes awful, and it's like you want to puke when you remember what saltwater consists of...  Just saying.

Would have to be a pool (even thou I have a pool lol). May I ask if I pick ocean is there going to be a lot of shark activity? Because if yes then I'll stay with the pool, if no then sure I'll swim in the ocean (always wanted to go deep sea diving).

Mostly for the fact I can't swim/stink at swimming. But also because I'm a pretty shy person.

Most people would say they would rather swim in a pool. Me? I would love to swim in an ocean, not the Atlantic LOL! The pacific, it's a lot warmer than the Atlantic and I wouldn't freeze to death in it. Also, the colours of that ocean just make me want to dive into it. It's really attractive in my opinion,.

I personally would choose a river, especially one with rapids. I love to go on rapids and to swim them is even funner and the rivers where I live are amazing for doing just that. The best part is, hardly anyone uses the river too, so it's always clean, especially compared to the lakes here . . . . . ugh, don't even get me started on the lakes, but yeah, I really enjoy the river and would choose it over anything, any day.

I really don't swim. I just go and stand in the water, and talk to people. I like the beach because I jump over the waves, but at the same time, I like the pool because you can play football in the water easier. XD

This is tough, I like going to the beach for the awesome wave action, but I guess I would say pool for this one because I don't always have to worry about getting my face smashed with sand every time a big wave comes, and afterwards when you come out you feel all weird and soggy. The pool is cleaner and I enjoy going to the pool whenever I can. I like them both, but I will give my vote to the pool because I like swimming in the deep end and also holding my breath underwater, so that is why I picked it over the ocean.

A clean river, while there are animals and plants growing in it, is a natural filter and there is so much more water that you can be sure there is very little urine, sweat, and saliva in the water you are swimming in.
