The old NES games (Castevania, Simon's Quest, Dracula's Quest) were pretty good, but suffers from one fatal flaw: you can only whip straight forward. That's where Super Castlevania IV comes in. You can whip in EIGHT DIRECTIONS. It was disappointing in Castlevania: Dracula X that you're stuck with one direction again, which was strange, considering it was supposed to be a successor to Super Castlevania IV. |

alexanyways : If you own castlevania on XBL, then you probably own Symphony of the Night. This game, in my opinion, is the best castlevania game. If you want to know more about castlevania, leave me a message and I'll point you in the right direction of what game you need to play.

Overlord_ash : Games that are not worth playing are Castlevania 2  imons quest. Dracula X, not to get confused with Dracula X: Rondo of blood. And the two castlevania 64 games.
Only reason Dracula X is there is because it is just a crappy, watered down version of Chi No Rondo or Rondo of blood.
