heh... it's only weird for you newbies who haven't been around too long. That is how the board used to be. If there were more than 5 active people posting at a time that was getting crazy. Now we have 20-30 people on the board on a regular basis and that's normal. -------------------- |

Yeah I agree, it's pretty lonely when you're the only active user. LIke Geeogree said, that's the way it use to be years ago. It'd be insane to see more than 5 people on at once lol.
What time of day is that? There's a few hours of the day which are just really dead, need to get more users from those time zones.

That might be what it was then because I'm an hour behind the servers time so her posts was at 5:35 AM so it could have been a good chance that it was the server going out. But I have noticed decreased activity lately I think everyone is just busy its almost summer break once that hits youll see tons of peeps here -------------------- |

JigSaw : No the server restarts at 5 am even, not 5:35. The site is just dead at that time, almost all americans are sleeping which makes up a huge portion of the site's traffic. I haven't noticed a decrease in activity at all, in fact, yesterday we hit a record for the most visits on a Friday and I can easily see us hitting an all time record today for most visits because we're already at 300 people online at once right now and it's still early, few hours away from peak hours.

noelia : yeah, I know how you feel... sometimes I get up around 6 and get on vizzed and there are only about 6-15 users online...
Davideo7 : Yeah, I believe that this is probably because most of the people on vizzed are in North and South America, which makes early morning hours a bit dead... Although... if you look closely, it says that there were 34 guests on site and 58 people in the RGR/RTR, so the website itself is never dead at any hour... only the forums...

That used to be the norm. I remember, for a few months after I joined, I was generally the only person on the board. It was normal. Just like David and JigSaw described it, if you had 5 people, it was party time. Then came the NES Game Room, then we added more game rooms, put them under the title of Retro Game Room, and ta-da. Here we are today. If it wasn't for the NES game room, we wouldn't have gotten a lot of traffic. If it wasn't for the traffic, we wouldn't have added more game systems. If we hadn't of had more game systems, Vizzed wouldn't be as big as it is today. Man, I feel like an old man when talking about the old days when I had first joined. "Back in my day..."... *shivers*

I agree that it is a bit eerie, but it's also kinda cool at the same time. There have been a couple of occasions where I've been the only one online (in the forums), and it was cool to be able to get my name to show up under almost every forum.

I'm not sure, the only thing that I remember is that I made this thread after 5 or 10min, when I took this picture, using "print screen" I almost have 8 hours from the server, so if I want to talk to some people I have to stay awake after midnight(my county's time)

Well yeah, freaky . I myself have never been the only person on the board, but I guess in a way it must be pretty scary, I mean the fact that Vizzed Board is so populated nowadays. But still, as the older members of the board have said, 'it used to be like this all the time'. It just means that Vizzed Board is getting more and popular, and is growing more than ever. So as well as this being paranormal, it means that the website is getting more and more active, as more and more people are coming and posting.

I remember a long time ago, I was the *only* person online a few times. But then again, the board wasn't as massively popular as it is now.

noelia : lol, I didn't even notice. It was 6:20 or whatever here, and I was downloading something (due to satellite internet download limits, anything more than a hundred mb is best downloaded in the free time from 2-7)... and I think I was on FB too, chatting with a friend, so I had no clue. That's weird. I didn't get a pick, but I think there actually was one time when I was the only one on... I promptly logged off out of boredom.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music. This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees. If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
