Ok, I've now been awake for over 24 hours straight and have no intention of stopping before around 40!

I was doing this fund-raiser thing for cancer research that went from 7pm last night to 7am this morning. oddly I'm not very tired at all, though that may change if I don't get some light in here soon! lol

wow thats considerably less than what I'm used to! I tend to sleep for at least eight! This is a very rare instance for me... honestly my eyes are getting a little irritated, but not really heavy. still can't turn on the light, my mom fell asleep on the couch after picking me up lol!

That's really cool! I wish I could find something like that locally, because I'm an expert on not getting sleep. My record is staying up for 83 hours straight. It was not the greatest experience though.

Staying up isn't as hard as one might think. The only difficult times are at night, or around the time your body knows it should be sleeping. During the day you are most likely active and therefore can stay awake easily. It wouldn't be hard to stay up for a few days if you can managed getting past your "night time". I've stayed up for 48 hours a few times during and after I had barracks guard duy. I was tired, but could stay awake with little effort.

As long as you have something to really keep yourself occupied than it's not to bad. My record I think is 40 hours but I wouldn't make it a habit of doing it and probably wont be doing it again lol, probably not very healthy.

I agree about it not becoming a habit... my eyes burn, but I must prove my parents wrong, and show them I will not pass out. drinking a lot of water seems to help as well.

Good luck to you, I think it's gonna get harder as the hours drag on unless you are in constant activity. Try going outside and walking a bit and keep the blood flowing so as to not let the tiredness catch up. Just try not to push your luck staying up too long =O
