I don't have an exact number of states I've been to, but the cross country road trip I took back in 2017 greatly boosted the number to the 30s. While we didn't stop to visit each of those states or admire landmarks, we did still spend hours driving through a lot of those states, so I'm still going to count it, lol.

I know I haven't been to Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Michigan, Wisconsin, and most of the northeastern states above Connecticut.
