Hello everyone, and welcome to April 2025 SPREE DAY! Let's come together as a community and go on a posting spree together!

In order to provide more places to post, some previously closed threads have been reopened over the past week. Be sure to take a look through the forums (beyond the "New Posts" page) to see what's open!

To make this Spree Day extra special, and to add a bit of an incentive, myself, supercool22, and zanderlex have put together some prizes and rewards that can be earned by posting.

Even though it's a Tour de Vizzed month, today should be about working together, NOT about competing against one another. We should be aiming to reach a high post total as a community, rather than aiming to make more posts as individuals than other users. You'll notice that none of the prizes or rewards depend on your post total relative to others. Instead, they are about how much you contribute to the community, and about how much the community accomplishes as a whole.

Here are the prizes and rewards:

1. For every post that you make today, you will receive 1,000 Viz (courtesy of me and supercool22).

2. You can earn Steam games for reaching certain post milestones (courtesy of zanderlex). Some games can be obtained by making 10 posts, some can be obtained by making 20 posts, and some can be obtained by making 30 posts. Each user can redeem a maximum of 3 games, and can mix and match. For example, a user that makes 40 posts can redeem one 30-post game and one 10-post game, two 20-post games, three 10-post games, or any other combination. I will put the list of games at the end of this post since it's pretty lengthy.

3. zanderlex has two shiny Ponytas and two shiny Galarian Ponytas in Pokemon Home that he will he giving away as prizes for anyone that makes 10 or more posts in the Pokemon forum. In the event that more than 4 people qualify for this prize, a raffle system will be used among those who meet the criteria.

4. I will be donating money to Vizzed if certain community goals are met. The goals are as follows:
-I will donate $5 to Vizzed for every 100 total posts that are made.
-I will donate $10 to Vizzed for every user that catches their name on fire.
-I will donate $20 to Vizzed if at least 25 new threads are created. (No pointless/spam threads please.)
-The most posts in a day this decade is 403, which was achieved on January 4th, 2020. I will donate $25 to Vizzed if we surpass that number.

I will provide progress updates in this thread throughout the day when certain goals are met, or are close to being met.

First update:

It's only 10:30 am server time and we've already hit 100 total posts! Great work everyone! That's already $5 that I will be donating the Vizzed.

As for some of the other goals, myself, zanderlex, SacredShadow, Dauntez, and Tafarijah have all reached 10 posts, meaning that at least 5 users will qualify for Steam games.

I will be willing to give away 60,000 Viz during this spree day, I will give everyone who made over 10 posts today as part of the 60,000.

If tgags says so, I might increase the limit on the number of games for the 20 and 30 post prizes if it means more people try to make more posts.

Update 2: It's 12:24 pm server time, and we've just reached 200 total posts! That brings us to $10 total that I will be donating to Vizzed.

In addition, there are now 7 users with at least 10 posts, and 3 users with over 40 posts.

I don't believe anyone has qualified for a shiny Ponyta yet, but I could be mistaken. I have to check manually, and I could have missed something. If you believe that you have made 10+ posts in the Pokemon forum, please let me know!

No one has their name on fire yet, but with 3 users over 40 posts, we're getting close to it becoming a possibility.

Only 4 new threads have been made so far (I believe), so we're still 21 away from the "25 new threads" goal.

zanderlex : They're your games, so that's up to you lol.

I normally never try for these spree days and with me working I don't know how high I can go but I can't remember if my name has ever been on fire so I am tempted to go for 100ish to see if I can hit it.

I'm going to post a bit but I'm not going to ask for any prizes or anything.

I'm posting for the sake of posting. Not for any other reason than I miss posting on Vizzed.

SonicOlmstead: Would you feel better if I told you it's nowhere near 100 today? It's closer to 60-75 today.

That's the best reason to post.

Update 3:

We just hit 300 total posts! We are well on track to surpass the decade record of 403!

We've also made 12 new threads, which puts us about half-way to the goal of 25.

There are now 9 users with 10+ posts, 3 users with 60+ posts, and 1 user with 70+ posts. No fire yet, however.

I think we can beat 403 posts! It's only 1:45 PM and we have so many.

Also, I've decided that everyone with over 10 posts 10,000 Viz

Well, it's only 3 pm server time, but the big goal has officially been achieved. We have surpassed 403 posts, and officially set a new record for most posts in a day in the 2020s decade. Awesome job everyone. I can't believe we did it so quickly. I thought it was a stretch goal.

Let's not stop here, though; I will still be donating an additional $5 for every 100 posts, so let's see how far we can take this!

With over 400 posts and the decade record broken, we are currently at $45 that I will be donating to Vizzed!

We have made 14 new threads, 11 shy of the goal.

We have 9 users with over 10 posts, 6 users with over 30 posts, 3 users with 70 or more posts, and Dauntez just cracked 90 posts.

No one has caught fire yet, but since UFO's name is on fire we know that the trigger must be 117 or less.

Well I'm shocked we beat it so easily I wonder how much higher it'll go.

Congrats to Dauntez for being the first person to catch fire! The magic number for flames today is 106. Let's see if anyone else can do it.

500 is totally doable! 106 is higher than I'd like to go but I wanna hit it so we'll see.

We've now surpassed 500 total posts!

Between that, Dauntez being on fire, and breaking the decade record, the amount that I'm donating to Vizzed is now up to $60!

We are close to hitting the "new threads" goal as well! 18 new threads have been made, meaning that we are 7 away from the goal of 25.

We now have 10 users with 10+ posts, 7 users with 20+ posts, 6 users with 30+ posts, 5 users with 40+ posts, 4 users with 60+ posts, 3 users with 70+ posts, 2 users with 90+ posts, and 1 user with 100+ posts. It really makes me happy to see how much of a team effort this has been!

As for the Pokemon forum goal, I will check that at the end of the day. Feel free to post in here and let me know if you think you've made 10+ Pokemon forum posts and I can check, but it's too much of a pain to manually check everyone every time I make an update post.

I can't believe we hit 500 posts! Next goal is 600, if Zanderlex starts competing more later we might hit it.

I can do some things in the Pokémon forum after I get 24% of my posts in the crazy house instead of 27%.

With this post I should become the second user to catch their name on fire!

Here's where we stand right now:

That means I will be donating at least $70. 2 more threads would increase that number to $90!

I believe three users now have 10+ posts in the Pokemon forum: myself, Dauntez, and pokemon x. It should be easier for others to reach this now, thanks to pokemon x adding quite a few threads to that forum.

Let's keep it going! I'm having a blast. It's awesome to see so many people getting involved. We have 8 users with italicized names! In 2025! That's nuts!
