What are you're biggest pet peeves at work? You can pretty much be annoyed by anything wether it's coming from customers, management, or even corporate because they become the most annoying out of everyone listed lol.

A couple of my pets peeves are customers coming in smelling like they dived head first into sewage. I still fail to understand how anyone can walk around like that.

It annoys me being asked why Pharmacy is closed when's it's stated pretty much every where in my store why it closed. They close for lunch everyday from 1:30-2pm. Can't people just take a moment to look at the big sign stating that.

When I worked in the public sector I had several pet peeves. My very first job was working in fast food as a janitor. My pet peeve was when customers would throw their trash, ketchup, mustard, and what they did not eat, onto the floor. They did this because they expected us that were doing cleaning to clean it up. I really got mad when one family did this and laughed about it. Me being a friendly person, but one who did not take it off of anybody, was getting ready to confront. Another person said we are not allowed to confront them just tell the person in charge, and clean up the mess. Ugh I was very mad to say the least.

Now since I have my own weather page and basically self employed. My pet Peeve is when after the Storm Prediction Center issues a Watch I post it on my weather page. I list all the counties, so what is the pet peeve. Well, I always get that question in my inbox or comment I do not see my county listed in the watch area does that mean my county is under a watch. I have to play nice and state if your county is not listed your county is not included in a watch at this time. I did not mind this at first, but after being a meteorologist for 14 years and having my weather page it gets old. Another pet peeve is when people do not know the counties their city is in, but again I have to play nice.

I don't envy you working in retail. I have never had to, but it seems challenging. People can be rude and stupid.

You would be surprised. I would say it happens 20% of the time that people do not know the county their city is in.

I would say my work is kind of unique, but I can't talk much about specifics. In short, the building I am in has weekly number goals, and if we hit those, great we don't have to do anything extra.

It really annoys me that so many people keep saving work to do up until the last minute of their "40 hours." Once we hit 40 hours and numbers are hit, we can go home. So, for example, I normally hit my 40 hours, like after our first break, and the person before where I am might not hit it until, say, after lunch. So they just keep holding work or act like they are working on something that could be done in 10 minutes.

Which then leaves the next peeve is that the supervisor over them (I have a different one) won't say anything about it because they still technically got their number before the end of the week. It is just a big cascading effect of one or two people holding everyone up.

I think I've come to dislike that I'm the guy everyone comes to for help on how to do their own job at this point. Normally you'd think this would be viewed as a good thing to my bosses, but my company has made it pretty crystal clear that promoting within, or rewarding hard work, is not a priority for them whatsoever as for the four years I've been here, NO ONE has been promoted despite several higher positions opening up, and they're hiring for new positions out-of-country (which I only bring up because it's a way to pay less for the same work). So being the guy that everyone bothers for help is just unnecessarily adding to my workload lol. It's definitely about time I jumped ship, which is what I'm currently working on doing.

I think the thing that frustrated me the most was the fact that so many people acted like different departments or groups within the same company were somehow enemies. We all work for the same company. We are trying to accomplish the same things. Stop treating me like an enemy and give me what I need to get things done.

I understand we all have different deadlines and rules within our different teams but we aren't adversaries. We should all be pulling in the same direction.
