Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)
Gray Banner: Veteran member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who signed up more than 7 years ago)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing


Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Another year another Tour de Vizzed I can say I don't want to win this one still I have some goals don't get me wrong but victory is not one of them so I look forward to seeing who pulls it off this time around! I've been debating how much I wanna post today and this month because my goals don't really require me to be winning blue but I also know if I'm to hit my goals on the site TdV is the best time to make headway towards them so it's quite the conundrum cause I'm kind of scared that if I try to hard and get a lead in rainbow I wouldn't be able to get myself to give up on it cause I do have a bit of a competitive side, and now that I'm this far in the post I'm completely lost on what I was trying to say so....

Ah the most wonderful time of the year....at least on the Vizzed and we still don't get points for video submissions, and I'll be home on both Screenshot submission days (well I guess that's a good thing, I can start with the stuff I have done reviews for)

Regardless good luck to the people that post out there. Unfortunately the main thing I would do for point actions isn't counted so not going crazy for jerseys myself.

Bets on SonicOlmstead or Zanderlex winning though.

I was looking at the daily results stuff last night and I find it crazy there are people that have been inactive for years will still get in the top 5 albeit temporarily. Personally curious on what gives that couple Contribution Points for the day. Unless daily one is calculated for everyone?

pokemon x : You just gave me something to think about, even though I'm only rating one shot a day when the screen shot rating isn't worth Double CP

We're back to this time of the year. I haven't had the best start in terms of health, and while school will give me useful breaks I wonder if life will allow me to actually enjoy those breaks or focus on other off-site projects, so we'll see if I can actually do any good.

I have a few Hall of Fame marks I'd like to reach for this month, though I wonder if I'll be able to reach all of them. The one regarding points seems the easiest one as I only need to be regular, but the jersey-related ones will be a bit tougher. Guess I'll have to try my hand at writing guides again, after all I want to take over that hobby again in the coming months so better start getting used to it, if real life allows me to.

pokemon x : To answer that would more often than not be my fault as it normally comes from me rating screenshots I often rate as many screenshots as I can from the same game so if there's more than enough and all done by the same person I occasionally can be to blame for that but as David pointed out there is more than one reason such as liking posts.

I feel like I've gotten a bit to use to seeing rainbow on my username at this point over the 2 years while I'm at home it's going to be hard for me to let someone overtake me it seems so hopefully I can at least make use of me being active to get closer to some goals on the site in the meantime.

to be honest even though I think posting the referral link in my own youtube comments is a good idea, I kind of have cold feet about it, I mean sure it's probably fine if it's on my own gaming videos, but I just hope youtube doesn't get on my case about it, I might take the links down after the tour is over.

Might make an appearance or two. Took last year off so I'm not feeling burned out on this anymore. I've also still got some goals I'd like to work towards (10k posts being the end goal, so this will help with that).
