Yo yo yo, this place is a ghost town where we mourn the losses of our lost friends. We remain here due to a sentimental attachment to what this site represents. Nice to see someone from pre-2013 pop in, we don't get that too often. We had a spike in activity recently, but this is a low period, enjoy your brief browse around the site.

pennylessz : That's a shame. I was feeling nostalgic so I thought I'd come here and see what was up. Guess not a lot? It's kind of hard to tell, the site has changed so much since I was last active.

I guess if Vizzed is dead, where do the cool kids hang out now?

We have a Discord that Leggy pops into every now and then, Alex is on there too, but he usually only comes around to discuss politics.

Anyway, it's definitely dead right now at least, seeing as it's the middle of the night in America. You should get a few replies from people who aren't me tomorrow probably. Mods have a post quota, so we're just dying to get a post out that doesn't require making a thread, at least I am anyway.

Haha, post quotas... Man I totally forgot about that. I wonder what happens if the forum is actually dead and nobody makes their quota? No more mods? Anarchy in the streets?!

As the person who manages said quota, it is not at all a solid requirement unlike the past; it is very loosely enforced and more just to define what "active" means... I realize the state that Vizzed is in so I wouldn't dare "fire" anyone over some inactivity for a month or two unless they just aren't logging in period hahah. I like to think that out of all of the previous heads of staff, I'm by far the most relaxed one.

Regardless, surprising to me as well when I started frequently visiting again two years ago that Vizzed was still alive; it's more active now than it was then thanks to a major change in the staff team (only a slight humble brag ;p ... but it's definitely not at all only my doing, plenty of people made it possible), but "active" is still being generous. The forum medium is unfortunately dying/dead unless you are KiwiFarms or... eugh... ResetEra, and losing the majority of the RGR when Flash is pulled from major browsers later this year will be another mortal blow to the site. Despite that I'll be here (or try to be) until it's end, trying my best to keep it above water, since I feel I owe a debt to this site. I have a lot more time on my hands now anyway with quarantine and all.

If it wasn't obvious I used to go by Galacta, we used to be part of the same group who dicked around in Left 4 Dead 2 for a countless amount of nights several years ago, but I've since then gone my separate ways with most of them; not sure if you're still involved with that group.

Welcome back, even if your stay is temporary. Stick around and bask in some nostalgia.

Place has a very sentimental attachment to me, made my first friends here.

Minuano : I definitely remember hanging around with you, and I remember you changing to Minuano. I don't really talk to anyone online anymore, so no, I don't keep in touch with them that much. I think they still have a discord channel they muck about in but I'm not much of a discord user, so I don't really know how active it is.

Maybe we should all get back together for one more hurrah?

I've only really been decently active after 2015 so I don't think I ever met you in the past at all but I remember reading quite a few posts from you so hey that's something right? Always glad to see a member returning even if it's just to look around.

I miss the old left 4 dead days too, Even when i was using that laptop that was so broke it used to give me electric shocks... welp..

As for the site i'm having a decent time here just chilling and posting. It's probably never going to recover but i still have a lot of memories of goofs from here. Some good, some bad...

My name surely rings no bell to you since I've been majorly involved with staff work and neglecting the forums for quite a good while. I do have seen yours around in threads and such, so better than nothing I guess.

Vizzed is clearly not at the crest of the wave right now but it's been worse than this. We at least are managing to stay around alive somehow, and the few of us still hanging there doing our two cents to keep it afloat will make sure it indeed stays afloat.

Furret : Dinosaurs are cool. When I was younger, my family had a couple of pet dinos. When I was very, very young, maybe 4 or 5, we had a mccaw, but I barely remember it. About ten years later we had a green parakeet named Chicken. He was a great little dude!

SonicOlmstead : Here's what I find really interesting: during the time that I was active on Vizzed, I lived on Olmstead Street. Isn't that cool? Anyway, bears are great. Ice Bear is best bear.

Okay, that was a reeally long list of replies. Here's some stuff I've been up to since the last time I posted here: I'm working as a system administrator at a manufacturing facility (So I'm still working despite lockdown!), and I recently started taking classes online to get a teaching degree. I'm quite a bit away from that, so I still have time to decide that I don't want to take a paycut just to do something I enjoy. I had a second baby, but I don't know if I ever mentioned that here. I finally started contributing to my 401(k) so maybe I'll get to retire some day lol. Uhh... I think that's all the interesting stuff.
