Which video chat apps do you typically use? Do they work well for you, and do you enjoy using them?

I don't normally do video chats with people at all, but being at home constantly has made me try out a couple. I have used Google Duo, Google Hangouts, and Zoom. Like maybe 99% of college students, I have been using Zoom for classes, but I have also used it to join meetings/discussions about different things.

Google Duo was OK for me when I used it, but Google Hangouts and Zoom have worked pretty well, especially considering that my internet isn't as good on some days. I've enjoyed using both apps especially since Zoom has a chat function that my professors have encouraged us students to use!

I haven't really used video chat since Skype was the popular one... The closest i get is screen sharing on discord, which is great for me because i honestly don't like going on camera anyways. People tend to pay more attention when they can only hear your voice sometimes... obviously it depends on the person though i suppose. +

Discord I guess. I rarely video chat to begin with but it's on there if I do. Maybe Snapchat on a rare occasion. I don't really use Snap to talk to friends IRL and only a select few online know what I look like and even fewer of those have me added on Snap. I've only resorted to that when I'm doing something and I can't really bring my laptop with me like cooking.

I don't really care for video chatting since I don't see a need to do so unless you really need to see the other person, when I do have to, it's usually through a Facebook call. Sometimes I use Skype but that's about it.

Outside of that, I used adobe connect when I was taking a long distance course during my first university semester. I would not recommend it as visually it looks pretty archaic compared to zoom (which ironically I've yet to use).
