What do you do to calm down/relax? My answer is pretty stupid but I usually either vape (I know it's not healthy leave me alone and let me be unhealthy) or listen to Persona music. A lot of the soundtrack has funky beats and a lot of it is also calming and soothing to where it always gets me calmed down if I'm ever feeling anxious.

I know this may sound basic but trying to slow down and taking deep breaths does help me if I'm stressing about something.

Also, drink lol. I know this is probably a bad habit to get into, but I like to take a few shots before I go into uncomfortable social situations. I have social anxiety, and it helps me calm down and loosen up a bit. Wouldn't recommend it for anything else, but it does help me with that one particular problem.

If I want to calm down there are three things that I do. I either go an take an hour long hor shower, I get in bed and try to sleep for a bit, or I go out and see a movie. They all usually help me.

I play with my dog. I don't know if it's instinctual or what but it just takes away all the stress for me. I'm all zoned out just enjoying the company of my best friend.

I could literally have people screaming in the background and it wouldn't bother me, just me and her haha. Maybe it's the fact that they'll love and accept you no matter what you might have f***ed up in your life. If the time was right I would always use walking my dog as an excuse to get out of a family dinner for like half an hour haha. Nobody could complain because if they did they'd be denying her of her walk :3

I usually either mess with my dog, play a game, or spend some time watching some stuff to blow off steam. It's pretty effective most of the time, although it doesn't always work perfectly. If I really want to relax, I can just grab something like Super Mario Land or some other game where I can just play it and breeze through it while relieving some stress or I'll put a playlist on autoplay and let it go for a while before stopping it. Sometimes I can also relax just by chatting with people and getting out whatever's on my mind, too. There's a lot of ways to relieve stress, and I know that I haven't discovered many of them.

It usually takes quite a bit to get me upset or stressed out, but I find meditation to be incredibly useful for regaining calm and keeping things in perspective. Sometimes I listen to long YouTube videos of pouring rain or calming ocean waves to ease my mind and recollect myself. Other times I just sit in total silence and darkness and slowly relax every muscle in my body until I've achieved my desired level of calmness.

Like Furret, seeking out one of my dogs and just hugging/playing with them also really helps wick away any tension or negative feelings I might have.

A lot of times I either listen to music or I just go watch ASMR videos on Youtube.  For music if I'm trying to relax I listen to stuff like Stickerbrush Symphony from Donkey Kong Country or Epiphany Fields from Oxenfree.

It depends on how I feel. Mostly a nice warm shower with Alexa playing music on the background (if I am a bit upset). If I am okay and just want to chill then read, game, or stream a show. If I am mad then, there's no chill unfortunately just got to let it pass.

First I get myself alone, then I chill out a bit, and listen to my music. I have a playlist of a lot of songs used by artists I discovered through Just Shapes and Beats. Therefore, one of the tracks is this.

https://youtu.be/Ivi1e-yCPcI

Does it calm me down? Yes, actually, I just enjoy raving.

It really depends on how I’m feeling. Over the last few years, I’ve found a lot of different remedies for spgetting myself calmed down, either after a time of high stress, or just at night getting ready to go to sleep.

I used to find comfort in my cat, however, since she passed away, I haven’t had that kind of feeling to go back to so I’ve had to find other ways to calm myself down.

If I’m angry, I’ll listen to very upbeat music, normally more pop stuff, and that’ll help me calm down and get my heart rate closer to that of tempo. After that, I’m normally calm enough to address issues directly, which then, normally ends with crashing for a nap. A nap will always calm me down.

When it’s late at night but I still have energy and want to get to sleep, I usually watch an episode of one of my favorite shows - The Office, Family Guy, or Gravity Falls. Getting a few laughs in will normally calm me down enough to go on to step two, music. I have a playlist of songs that help me to slow my heart rate and just be calm in general. It’s a lot of indie rock and psychedelic rock that’s calming.

If none of that works, I go to YouTube for ASMR. There are some really good videos out there that I’ve found help me relax. Particularly role play haircuts. I really like the sound of scissors in those, and I’ve found a couple that are really good,

If all else fails, Weightless by Macaroni Union is extremely pleasent sounding, quiet, and well, weightless. It always gets me to sleep on rough nights.

Recently whenever I'm stressed I just open the Reddit app on my phone and scroll through some subreddits I'm following, I guess to just read about other people's fortunes / misfortunes or just for memes really.

Looking back Reddit has been a consistent source of entertainment for me throughout the years, and I've only recently really noticed it. Though there's also a lot of a**h***s on there so it also depends on how good you are at dodging those I guess.

To relax, either soothing music or playing videogames. Basically whatever can clear my mind of any thought and just focus on the moment.

To calm down, that's another issue. I have quite the temper, so it's not easy for me to calm down. The method that works best seems to be listening to hardcore/gabber music, a powerful and industrial genre which allows me to "clean up the trash" so to speak.

In rare occasions I also play videogames to calm down. However, because my heart rate is wild, I can barely remain seated and thus I'm unable to calm down except with very few games that can actually detach my mind from by body.

This past month I've been listening to some celtic music or some quiet game OSTs to relax and calm down if I'm stressed out over anything.

I was never too much into pop music and I much prefer instrumental stuff or game/anime OSTs. Pop music is just often too loud and too flashy for my taste, and with some fans of certain pop stars basically going super saying the moment you say you don't like ___'s music or you don't like ___ song.

There are some that I enjoy, but it's usually a song from an artist here and there and not all their work in general.

I like celtic music too, particularly the works of Celtic Woman, I find the music enjoyable to listen to, I usually just lay down and cozy up in bed to calm myself down and to relax sometimes that or I do something for fun.
