Haha i actually didn't have anything too special but I grabbed one of the leftover candy canes we had laying on the table and started eating that at around 12:05 AM. Not a very exciting story but the candy cane tasted good it was one of those rainbow ones.

zanderlex : For cheap champagne, it's actually very good. Infinitely better than André or Cooks, which aren't even really drinkable, and at only a little over $13 a bottle, to boot. Good stuff. You should try it if you like a little bubbly wine once in a while.

Now that I am sober and have actually had a meal...

We went to Sonic. Not sure if that's everywhere or just a regional thing, but it's a fast food place fashioned after the old drive-in burger joints. A little pricey, but they have half-price burgers on Tuesday and fantastic tater tots. Can also get half-priced soft drinks before 4 PM and their cherry limeades are something else.

Not really a meal, but the first thing I ate in 2019 was a couple of chocolate chip cookies. I was over at a friend's place playing in a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament (which I won), and after watching the ball drop, we all resumed eating snacks and playing Smash. I just so happened to want cookies more than anything else there at the moment. The next morning, I had a proper meal of scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon though.
