...but it was 4th of July. How do I know it? Because I registered on that day!

Okay, not sure if it really was on the 4th due to timezone and such, but still it's been that much since I registered. And I happened to hit that milestone on another special day, this time special nearly everywhere in the world.

I'm out of home in my laptop and it goes awfully slow, and I barely have time for anything with my family hanging around. Still, I wanted to share such a funny coincidence and not let it go to waste, so I won't be doing any kind of recap (for now, at least, once I'm back home tomorrow maybe I have some posts to reply to).

I wonder if 3k will also fall on a special day. The bets are open!

I feel like 2000 days isn't enough for you but that is 5 and a half years of being a member. 2000 doesn't sound like it is long enough though. I feel like you've been around longer than that. Maybe it was working together on staff that made it seem like you would have been around longer.

Still, big milestone for being at the same place for that long.

geeogree : Absolutely agree, 2000 days is less than 1/5 of my lifetime, so it's basically the last and most recent stage of my life. So many things behind me from the remaining 4/5 of that time...

But yeah, staying active in the same place for this long is quite the achievement. I've always taken breaks from every other place I've been, or otherwise I've faded into nothingness. I'm surprised I've managed to get myself glued to this place for such a long stint, but it's true that this site has somewhat shaped my true self into becoming what I am now, so I also feel kind of anchored here.

It's rather common to think somebody has been here for longer than they've actually been. Vanelan, for example, has only been around here two months more than me, and people like zander are still a few months short of my milestone. Time surely goes by very slowly when you feel like at home, amirite?

That might be because timezones on this site are all out of wack it is hard to tell what time it is exactly. Maybe it is the 4th in your time zone but the 3rd for mine (if you are ahead by 8 hours)? I don't know, I am confused though lol.

It's no problem with me, since I live in the same Timezone that David and the Vizzed server is located. But outside of the Central US Timezone, it can be quite confusing.
