Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time 04-07-15 09:50 PM |
REVIEW #3: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time I wanted to save this review for the final 10 reviews, but I'm feeling risky, I'm going to review Ocarina. Let's get right to it. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME The game is a masterpiece, and that isn't even nostalgia blinded. That being said, I had to break a fair wall of nostalgia to produce a fair review, and if for any reason you happen to be offended, I give you my utmost apologies. Without further ado, I'm going to start with the Difficulty. Difficulty [ 4 / 10 ] I never truly found myself challenged in this game, and near all of it was simplistic for the younger audiences, it's nearly pitiful how easy this game truly is. While some of the Biggoron's Sword sequences were kind of hard, nothing in this game is close to impossible. A few interesting things to talk about, are the Running Man, who is a man that can be challenged in a race once Link has become an adult, the race is from the Gerudo Valley to the entrance of the Kokiri Forest. For those new to the game, those areas are polar opposites in the country of Hyrule, the setting of the game. If you want a harder version, try the sequel to the game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, which has a much better atmosphere and better character development to pair with the higher difficulty. Not much challenge to this game, so I'm going to give difficulty a 4/10. Depth [ 6 / 10 ] Depth wise, there isn't a lot of replay value to this game, and I sometimes find myself rather bored when playing the game, it doesn't have a ton of stuff to do, unlike Super Mario 64, which had a lot of missions to come back to, and discover. I must admit, there are some fun side quests to do, like the Mask Selling side quests, though there is no pay off to doing these, and they are just a pass time. Dungeons never rea... Super Mario Star Road 04-06-15 10:23 PM |
REVIEW #2: Super Mario Star Road Oh boy... If I had a nickel for every time I've beaten this game... Well, to be honest, I wouldn't have a single nickel, but that's besides the point. Super Mario 64, one of the highest grossing Mario games of all time, continues to get sales for the DS version, and through virtual console, it has aged roughly and nicely, and it's stuck with us over the years. For my first review, I did Super Mario 64 Multiplayer, and this game is believe it or not, created by the same person, and he has even created a multiplayer version of this one, though not as up to date as SM64 Multiplayer. Somehow Skelux managed to take everything SM64 did right, and ramp it up too 11. Every time I turned around in this game, I found something new! There was always something to surprise me and make me want to keep playing. I don't know where to begin to describe how much I love this game, but in my reverse order of ratings, I will start with Difficulty. DIFFICULTY [ 8 / 10 ] I will NOT go lightly here, this game's difficulty is stupid hard, but everything else makes it so worth it, some of the trouble comes with the camera, which is a curse Skelux seems to have with his games, for example, in Sky Island Resort, there is a mission where you are required to reach the top of the windmill, but the camera makes this absolutely and utterly aggravating, and I definitely recommend coming into this game with a fair amount of patience, which isn't hard for me, as a Gamer who has 106%ed Super Meat Boy. Some of the tricks required to do certain things in missions are incredibly precise, and/or outright poorly placed, making camera movement a given, if even possible. I have to give the Difficulty an 8/10. DEPTH [ 10 / 10 ] The depth is a masterpiece, everything about this game leaves you on your toes, there are so many unexpected secrets to b... Super Mario 64 - Multiplayer 1.3 04-03-15 12:19 PM |
REVIEW #1: Super Mario Bros. 64 1.3 [Super Mario 64 Multiplayer 1.3] Alright, so for my first review on Vizzed I figured I'd do something special and review Super Mario 64 Multiplayer. Or as I like to call it, Super Mario Bros. 64. This game's update has really improved it altogether, and there are a lot of things to talk about, so why not start with the game's difficulty. DIFFICULTY [ 7 / 10 ] --------------------------------------------- Super Mario 64 isn't exactly a difficult game, however Super Mario Bros. 64 has some wonky camera controls, though the zooming out polishing added in this update really helps out with the all around gameplay, I did find myself having to use the 'Player Specific Camera Pan' feature quite often, which is a good addition, but became rather annoying when I was forced to hold down the camera pan button while playing, definitely recommend a Gamepad for this one, that way you can hold down the button you assign it to without much of a hassle. The camera controls make the difficulty a bit higher. Controls are irritating, and for that reason, I give difficulty a 7/10. Since we are talking about the hack, and not the base game, I won't be talking about the level difficulty. DEPTH [ 8 / 10 ] ------------------------------- This game has A LOT to offer, from the secret levels, to the 100 Coin missions, there is always something to do in this game, I always found myself going back to old stages when new ones were too difficult, and getting more completed in those stages. With depth, Nintendo really knew what they were doing, you can collect the Castle's Secret Stars, which are required for 100% completion, and while some of these stages are more fun with 2 Players, others can be outright impossible. For this, I give depth an 8/10. STORY [ 3 / 10 ] ------------... Read the rest of this Review |
