I've uploaded the full Bomberman '94 Final Matchup stream to YouTube here:

Be sure to Like the video and Follow my channel if you haven't already

As some of you know, Vizzed has been struggling financially over the past year after it took some huge traffic drops and now that January and February have come along (which are already the worst months financially out of the entire year), things are even worst financially. What's even worst on top of that is having to pay taxes this time of year and being self employed (since my income depends on the site's revenue) means that I have to pay in money to the government and it's usually a lot (I don't have the luxury of getting a nice tax return every year). I've been able to get site fees down a little over the past few months but they're still $1000+ a month.

If you have any money to spare, even if it's as little as $10, the donations would be hugely appreciated. If you can donate a big amount, that'd be fantastic but if you can only afford $10 then that's fine too since it adds up. If for example 100 users donated $10 each, that'd be $1000 right there which would help out greatly (and the majority of users most likely can afford $10, that's like the price of what some people spend on junk food in a week). My job is this site which allows me to work on this site full time (sometimes as much as 60-80 hours a week) so I don't really have any other source if income besides selling my possessions.

Interested in Donating? If so, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/donations.php

Earn Viz from Donating!
$10 = 10,000 Viz
$25 = 30,000 Viz
$50 = 75,000 Viz
$100 = 175,000 Viz
$250 = 500,000 Viz

Why donate besides helping the site out financially?
Well donating grants you lots of Viz and lots of Viz can get you access to lots of nice items in the Vizzed Market. For 10,000 Viz you can get the Beta Test Ticket which grants you access to games, systems and features before they go public. For 25,000 Viz you can get access to the V-Machine item which allows you to play all games without paying extra Viz for them. For 50,000 Viz you can get the PlayStation item which gives you access to play 2500+ PlayStation games on Vizzed. There are lots of other things you can spend Viz on and I've got lots of additional items that will be added to the Vizzed Market in the upcoming weeks. Also, if you're feeling really generous, if you make the top 5 10 donator list, you'll be given your own permanent custom username color. For more information on these items, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/market/listings.php

Don't have PayPal?
If you don't have PayPal but still want to donate, you can donate in any other way that you can (and you can even donate your unused games as seen here). I'll still add you to the donations list and you'll also still get the CP and Viz from doing so. Keep in mind that PayPal allows people with Credit Cards but no PayPal account to donate. If you don't have PayPal or a Credit Card but still want to donate, let me know of ways that you are able to in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=95069

Don't have money to donate but still want to help out?
There are lots of ways to help out the site even if you don't have money. You can tell your friends about Vizzed, you can tell everyone on your facebook about Vizzed, you can submit content to the site, etc. You can also help out the site in a ton of ways mentioned in my Help out Vizzed thread so if you can't help out financially, please consider doing everything in this thread:

2016 Spring Bomberman Tournament = Final Matchup at 6:30 PM Central Time on Wednesday, 6/22/2016
The Bomberman Netplay Tournament which started back in late March will come to an end this Wednesday in the final matchup! Here are the 5 users who made it to the final matchup along with their player number (which also reflects their overall rank) and Bomberman color: Davideo7 (P1: White), Linkums (P2: Black), AceShock (P3: Red), Foxyman1113 (P4: Blue) and mvhupsel (P5: Green).

The final matchup will last anywhere between 45 minutes and 75 minutes (although last year it epicly lasted nearly 2 hours as you can see here) and will consist of rounds. The winner of the tournament gets $100, 2nd place gets $50, 3rd place gets $25 and 4th & 5th get Viz prizes. If you're curious about how this tournament worked and who all competed, you can find more information here.

Here's how the final matchup will work. At the end of each round, the user (or users if there is a tie for last) with the lowest trophy count will be eliminated. We keep doing this until only 1 user stands, which will be our winner. If you miss the stream, I'll be uploading the video to my personal YouTube account here.

No one has ever beat me in this annual Bomberman '94 tournament but this year has more talent than any other year so this could be the year that someone finally takes down my reign and gets crowned the Bomberman '94 champion! Or you can root for me also, I don't want to be portrayed as the villain

The matchup will be live streamed on my Twitch Channel here:
http://www.twitch.tv/davideo7
(be sure to 'Follow' my channel so you don't forget)

Defeat Davideo7 and Foxyman1113 & Win US $500 Worth of Digital or Steam Games! Event starts at around 7:30 PM central time on Wednesday, 6/22/2016
As soon as the Bomberman Netplay Tournament ends, there will be a special Bomberman event that'll take place right afterward (just like the last 2 years). You'll form a team with anyone and take us on in a 2 vs 2 match and if you can beat us, you and your teammate get to share the $500 worth of Digital or Steam games! (or 500,000 Viz if you want that instead). Basically you'll be given 50 Raffle Tickets which you can use to redeem here (also click that to see the list of games that you can get which includes more than just Steam games).

If you're interested in challenging us, read the full details and respond to this thread here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94996

This event will be live streamed on my Twitch Channel here:
http://www.twitch.tv/davideo7

If you want more information or have questions/suggestions, go to this thread:

Sign up now for the Summer 2016 Team Tournament for a chance at winning 300,000 Viz or $300 worth of Digital Games:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94941

This tournament will last for 10 weeks, 6 of those weeks being regular weeks and the last 4 of those weeks being playoff weeks. The 8 teams with the most points will enter the playoffs. Every user of the winning team will get a special trophy item added to their Vizzed Market inventory.

Users will be able to choose the 300,000 Viz or can take 30 Raffle Tickets (valued at $300) that they can use to redeem any game from this page here. Users will be able to display all the trophies they've earned on their profiles (when I'm done remaking them) and they'll also be permanently enshrined on a Hall of Fame page.

If you have a tight schedule or don't know how your availability is, don't worry, you'll be able to schedule a day and time for your matchup each week. You can also get a backup player on your team who can fill in for whenever you can't make it to a match (or you can sign up as a backup player). You, your team and your opponents each week will come up with a day and time that works for all of you to do your weekly matchup. In other words, it's a very flexible tournament.

Systems we'll be playing games for include: PlayStation, Super Nintendo, Nintendo NES and TurboGrafx. Games include: Bomberman, Micro Machines, Super Spike V'Ball and more. If anyone knows of any good 2 vs 2 games that I can add to this tournament, be sure to let me know.

The Video Game Music Room is already 6 months old and has made a lot of progress since its launch. It now has nearly 100,000 songs among 5000+ games for nearly 30 different systems with new songs being added weekly. If you still haven't used it, be sure to check it out here:
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/music.php

Because the Video Game Music Room has so many songs, we need as many ratings as we can possibly get in order to help the good songs stand out and for the bad songs not to. I'll give anyone who is willing to help rate songs up to 50,000 Viz! A great opportunity to earn more Viz for the Vizzed Market. All you have to do is search for music and rate it. I've temporarily made it so that you can get CP credit for rating 100s of songs during this offer and I also made it so that the default order of songs is based on overall rating in order to mix things up (too many SNES songs were showing up in the default order and I want more than just SNES songs rated).

Here are some rules in order to qualify:
-Don't rate everything the same rating (this would lead me to assume you didn't listen to anything).
-You will only get credit for songs that you earned CP from (you can see how many you've been credited for in the 'Song Rating' section on your Contributions Page).
-Songs must be at least 15 seconds long to count to prevent users from rating tons of jingles and sound effects.
-There must be a 25 second gap in between rating songs to prevent users rating random songs without listening to them.
-Only ratings made on and after 6/14/2016 count.
-This offer ends June 30th.

Here's how much Viz I'll give you guys based on how many songs you rate:
+25 Songs = 10,000 Viz
+50 Songs = 25,000 Viz
+100 Songs = 60,000 Viz

Tips:
-If you have a preference on game system then search for games based on system
-You can find collections of songs by searching through user playlists

Once you've rated enough songs to qualify you for Viz, be sure to let me know in the following thread and I'll send you the Viz. Keep in mind that you'll also be automatically earning CP and Viz when you rate these songs so you'll be getting my bonus Viz on top of the regular Viz.

There's 5 more days left to compete in the Spring Minecraft competition so be sure to finish up any submissions you might be working on.

Spring 2016 Vizzed Minecraft Server Competition
See who can build the best video game structure on the Vizzed server
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=93539

It's awesome to see so many returning users using the Vizzed Market after I sent out the emails to users who had enough Viz to afford games in the Market. I first wanted to welcome you all back and briefly go over some of the big things that have taken place on the site over the past few years. I'm hoping you guys consider sticking around

Video Game Music Room
This is a feature that launched nearly 6 months ago and has been updated a ton ever since. It offers nearly 100,000 video game songs among 5,368 games and 28 systems and constantly has new music added to it all the time. You can browse for music based on system, artist, rating and so much more and you can even view playlists created by others or even create your own.

Video Game Room
This has been in slow development over the course of many years. The ultimate goal of the Video Game Room is to provide graphics and content for every game ever made. It also has a few sub pages including a Video Game Characters page and a fancy all graphic Video Game Navigator.

Retro Game Room
This is what brought most of you here so you're all likely familiar with it. However, there's been a lot that has been added to this over the years. There's been 1000s of new games added, lots of new features and lots of new game systems which include Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, PlayStation (currently only available to users with the PlayStation item) and lots of others.

New Vizzed Code and Look
Over the past year I've been working on recreating the site code from the ground up in order to make the site faster, easier to use, search engine friendly, more secure, offers more customization, optimized code means it's easier/quicker for me to develop new features, mobile friendly and so much more. There's still a lot of pages that need to be migrated to the new site code but for the pages that have been, they function a lot better and have a lot more features.

Netplay
This allows you to play with other users online in almost any game for the following systems: Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, N64 (buggy), MAME (requires port configuration), Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, TurboGrafx, SuperGrafx, TurboGrafx CD, PC-FX and the Sony PlayStation (and it works great). To create a session, you simply go to a game's page, scroll half way down to the netplay section and click the 'Click here to Start a New Netplay Session with Mednafen' link. To join a session, go to the Netplay Lobby.

Vizzed Market
The New Vizzed Market just launched a few weeks ago and not only does it completely replace the old item shop, it adds an entire marketplace to Vizzed. It's still in the early stages of development but it already has had 100s of transactions. The goal with this is to allow users to buy, sell and trade just about anything including digital items, vizzed items and even real items. You can read more about it here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94501

Feel free to sell your unused codes in the Market. I usually add 30+ games and 200+ codes each day and I still have 1000s of codes for 100s of games to add so be sure to check out the Digital section of the Vizzed Market daily. If you need help earning some more Viz, you can find lots of ways in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=78350

There's a lot of things that I missed but I wanted to keep this somewhat brief in order to not bore anyone away lol. I've also got loads of awesome new features coming soon and I've got big plans for big features before the year ends (including a Battle Arena).

If anyone has any questions or feedback, let me know in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94803

A few days ago I made an update which no longer allowed users to play games until they disabled their ad block for Vizzed.com (since the ad blocks are literally killing this site). Since making that thread, I've decided to not make this a requirement in order to play games in the Retro Game Room. Instead I'm going to have it so that users get a reminder once in a while to disable their Ad Block for Vizzed if they have it enabled. I'm hoping this is a compromise that everyone can agree with.

For questions, feedback or more information, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94696

https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94691

It's that time again folks! We've got a spot to fill and we want you!

Well, not all of you but some of you, or one of you, or 3 of you. I haven't really decided.

However, the point is this - there is at least 1 local mod position open right now and if you want a chance at it go to the thread I linked to to find out how to apply.

Good luck!

Starting this month, all winners of Vizzed competitions and tournaments will earn a trophy item that they'll be able to display on their profile. Users will also be permanently added to a Hall of Fame page (coming soon).

The Vizzed Market is a new feature (still in progress) that allows users to buy and sell Vizzed items and Digital items using the Viz currency! I'm in the process of adding literally 1000s of game codes so be sure to check it out daily.

You can find the Vizzed Market here:

On Tuesday, 5/31/2016, from 4 - 7 PM (central time zone) we'll all be listening to and rating the songs submitted to the TurboGrafx Music Competition. Shortly before each song finishes, I'll give users a link to where they can rate each song and the song submitters get points for any rating above a 3 (out of 5).

I will be hosting this event on my Twitch channel and I'll be giving away a total of 250,000 Viz and $250 worth of Steam Games. The more songs you rate, the higher your chances are of winning a raffle after the stream is over. Each rating you make during the stream is basically another entry in the raffle. There will be literally 100s of steam games that winners will be able to pick from.

If you can only show up for a little while that's fine.

Recreating the forum pages from the ground up using the new site code was a bigger project than I had expected and took a lot longer but it turned out far better than I had planned and I ended up doing even more with it than I originally planned. Since I put 75+ hours into this, you can imagine that there's a lot to mention regarding the new changes so I'll try and break my post down into each of the big changes and I'll try to keep it as brief as I can. You can read about all of the changes here:

2 months ago I announced a new feature which allowed anyone to load any game rom that they owned or had access to from this page:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/yourgames.php

A lot of users had questions on how to use it so I wrote up detailed instructions which you can find here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=94123

I also recorded a demonstration on how to use it which you can watch here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owT2YwApXWc
(be sure to Like the video & Follow my channel if you'd like me to do more instructionals)

Lieutenant Vicktz recently launched his own rom site becoming the first Vizzed affiliated site to use the RGR Plugin. The purpose of his website is to provide users a simple way to play game roms that they own on their computer in the browser without having to configure anything. It'll also allow anyone who has already played a game on Vizzed to continue playing that same game on his website and it'll even load their save files as long as they're logged into Vizzed.

The site can be found here:
Play.Rom.Online

It's still in development and is currently limited to certain systems but he'll work on adding stuff to it depending on how much traffic it gets.

If anyone else has their own website that they'd like to use the RGR Plugin on, feel free to contact me and we can work something out.
