I definitely prefer taking a shower to a bath. As other's have stated, taking a bath is like soaking in the filth you're trying to wash off. Plus, I find a hot shower relaxing.

I know I prefer showers, but in the winter it's almost hard not to prefer baths.  Our water won't even GET hot.  It just gets luke warm.  I don't know how I feel about taking a lukewarm shower in a freezing cold house.  I'd almost rather just be immersed in the warm blanket of a full tub.

There just is never any time for baths these days. I would love to have a relaxing soak sometime, but I have to settle for a nice steamy hot shower. I think a hot tub would be better than a bath for relaxing, but not many really have that luxury (I certainly do not). Showers are just easier to set up, faster, and easier to get to. With baths, you need to be sure your tub is clean before you lay down in it, and for tall guys like myself, you usually are forced to crouch or bend a little unless you have a really huge tub.

Some shower heads have massage modes on them to help with that relaxing sensation too. Not that I ever really tried them, but I considered doing so after some rather tough days at work.

I miss baths...

We had to take our bath tub out and replace it with a handicap shower for my grandmother. I don't mind, because she needed it, but oh, god, I miss our bath tub. There's nothing like a hot soak to ease muscle cramps and back aches (which I suffer from badly!)
