My absolute favorite is The Dark Knight by Nolan and tied for number 2 and 3 would be The Red Hood (Joker was an absolute BA and I loved Robin) and TDKR (It's better the second time watching).

It's a really tough choice of what my favorite Batman movie I think is the best, if I have to choose, I like the late 1960's Batman movies that had Adam West in them, and I happen to like the Dark Knight trilogy as well.

Does anyone remember the 1989 version? That one was the best in my opinion. It had tons of action, the best music, and both batman and the jomer were outstanding! I especially liked the theme song for batman in that movie. I think the dark knight trilogy is pretty good, but the 1989 version will always hold a special place in my heart. Don't get me wrong, the Nolan films are great too, bbut I enjoy the 1989 version a bit more over those ones.

For me, Batman (1989) is the best one. That is probably the first thing I ever saw relating to Batman which made me pick him up as my favorite, so It definitely has a special place in my heart. I am also a big Jack Nicholson fan, so I thought his take on the Joker was excellent. Heath Ledger definitely did an amazing job with the Joker in the Dark Knight but I'm not a fan of Christian Bale being Batman to be honest. Mia03 : Batman did die at the end of DKR but Bruce Wayne lived, he died as a symbol to everything good in the city giving everybody hope and bravery.

My favorite was Dark Knight, I just love Heath Ledger as The Joker. Although the Batman movie that Tim Burton directed was really good too. An easy second.

Batman has always been my favorite superhero, and I watched all of the old movies several times before the new trilogy started.

I watched Batman Forever about a million times... but honestly they are in a completely different world that the new trilogy.

It's as if there are "two" batman worlds. The "Batman and Robin" world, and the "Dark Knight" world.

The new trilogy is clearly the Dark Knight batman. He is a serious silent guardian who sacrifices in a way most other supers don't. He becomes something he's not when he is both Batman, and Bruce. He even takes the blame for murders as batman.

Then there is the Batman and Robin type of batman. This is the one where he beats up baddies with a "smash", and "kapow'. It is purposefully corny. The plot it predictable and the bad guys over the top: "Ice to meet you". Batman and Robin and Forever where part of these.

The original two by Tim Burton were sorta in the middle. While he is a lot more serious, batman still is somewhat corny, and the plot predictable.

To answer the question: My favorite is definitely the Dark Knight. Followed by Begins, Rises, and finally Forever.
