BluemageKyle : I dig the way the flag looks... but why is the text box so small? You leave yourself with a ton of empty space for seemingly no reason. It's not like there's a detailed image over there being shown... just color. You'd probably be best off taking full advantage of the width available for you so that if you were to make a long post, it wouldn't result in endless scrolling.

zelda2 :  I personally think the font color is a little bright, but with a completely clear textbox, I can't think of a much better color to go with that image.  White or black clearly wouldn't work, and red (or anything bright like orange and yellow) is usually very obnoxious.  So you might have made the best choice, honestly.... what with the clear box and what not.
