It feels kind of completing in a sense. I joined this site so long ago, and it feels like I've reached a plateau that very few members will ever reach. Zanderlex will no doubt hit it, for better or worse, but beyond him, I'm not sure there's a single current member who I'd place a bet on. It takes a lot of dedication to the site, and most of these posts were made over the course of just two years. The last three or so years, I think I've totaled about 5,000? I still like coming here, but I don't care nearly as much about it as I once did, and a large part of that is that I just don't have the time anymore. 25,000 is basically the last box I can realistically check on the bucket list.

My hero is my grandmother. I dropped out of college at 18, got kicked out of the house shortly after, and my grandmother took me in for about 5 years. For those 5 years, I struggled to get anything going. I was in bad relationships, not getting work, and struggling financially. Through it all, she provided food for me, and kept me safe. Without her, I would not be here right now. I would not be who I am today. I likely would be six feet under, or in a crackhouse, smoking my life away.

2. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Right where I am right now. California is the most amazing place I've ever been, I have friends, I have family, and the weather is perfect. Not one thing about this place sucks.

3. What is your biggest fear?

Dying alone, primarily, along with never being understood by anyone. They go hand in hand. If I can't be understood, it doesn't matter if someone is with me, I'll be alone.

4. What is your favorite family vacation?

I've never gone on a family vacation, so I'll say my trip to California last year to visit my girlfriend.

5. What would you change about yourself if you could?

I'd learn to stop flirting with just about every woman I meet. I'm really going to get myself in trouble one of these days.

It's weird, because I can't name any one specific thing. It seems like it's mostly any restriction on my freedoms. I care greatly about my autonomy, and any impediment to that pisses me off.

Money haha. The idea that one day it'll pay off and I won't have to work ever again.

The people I work with. I have some incredible co-workers who are understanding of my slip ups.

Finishing 8th in the State Championship Class C meet, despite starting the year as a JV runner, who probably wasn't in the top 200 in the entire state. I improved my race time by about 7 minutes in 3 months.

For most people, it would be to stay humble. This place is great if you don't try to be me.

For me, the lesson that's helped most though, is to just not care too much about dissenting opinions.

Miscommunication, and misdirection. Firing our perfectly good coach and hiring a rookie, and expecting all the egos to work together.

Honestly to make things good, we're going to have to choose between Rose and Butler, let Gasol walk, and pray we can lure a marquee SF or C. Rose or Butler, with Portis rising, with a revamped team is honestly our best shot.

The Celtics. They are relevant faster than anyone could have hoped, and Durant is supposedly considering them (although he's going to the Warriors or Spurs). With their pick options, and the fact they are already a playoff level team, marquee free agents will want to come to Boston.

PF - Tristan Thompson
C - Andrew Bogut

I had a tough time choosing a center, but this roster looks ok to me. Crowder/Holliday will split enough space to allow Korver to get a good shot when they want it, and Thompson/Bogut feel like they'd compliment each other nicely. The 5 all stars would beat them badly, but this is probably the closest you'll ever get to role players being a factor against them.

As for why not PegLeg, I just don't find it a real nickname for me.

I don't think so. Truthfully, I think it's dumb to leave so many answers, it's overwhelming to someone who would otherwise read the questions and answers. I think this is why our Ask Anythings are so popular, and David's isn't really as popular as it could be. Our frequent and eloquent responses keep the thread flowing.

I don't honestly know. I could post 100 times in a week, or go a month without making a real post. It all depends on how I'm feeling, and whether or not people get me engaged. I'd love nothing more than to be as active as I was as a moderator, but somehow, I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. I just have no reason to do so. And with how busy my life is, I need a reason.

Well, it's hard to really say, since I myself haven't had an update in a few years now. But there's a post in the elite lodge about her, and it's worth checking into.

I'm going to respect the privacy and delicate nature of the topic, and not speak about it more in an area where trusteds+ could learn more.

All you need to know is that what is known is in that thread, and there's unlikely to be any change any time soon. I should really try to find out myself.
