Shadows is created to compete against Sonic.Knuckle had his prime on battling the Crystals in Sonic and Knuckles and sonic 3 .So inputting  the same species in, lead to competition between them 2 ..I rooted for so many bad  guys.I was a misunderstood kid growing up being hated on.So at home I watched the villians kicked the good guys into dust by watching it happen on TV.  In Video games    You  have no choice but to fight the bad guys and that one fictional hero that  fought them was  Sonic.

I personally like silver, because he can move stuff with his mind!  you have to admit, that is pretty cool.  I also think silver has a cool design.  my favorite game with silver in it is sonic generations, i didn't know that he would try to kill sonic!

I agree with Sword legion, Sonic doesn't need the chaos emeralds to win every time. And sonic is much faster, and cooler, and better. Silver takes a close second place though, because he is neat and he is optimistic and a good friend to Sonic, plus his powers are neat. (And they would both work together to beat Shadow.)
