Action 52 was released by Action Enterprises in September 1991 for the NES.

Now, the game promised you loads of fun with new and original games, 52 games.

This game was the most controversial game in 1991.

Now about the price:
The price for this game was $199 dollars. Who would pay that much for a lousy cartridge!? I mean if it was rare then I would rethink that but really? $200 for a cartridge. Think that over.

Now about the games:
The games are unexplainable and horrible. I'm not going to explain to you game by game because there are 52 games. Most of the games freeze and crash when you go to maybe the next level of the game. Endless levels in the game were mostly disappointing, I mean, hello? Don't you want to beat a game? Controls that wouldn't respond and confusing designs were never helpful.

Now about the music:
Music was plaigirized. The music was copied from Several of the songs from the NES version of Action 52 were plagiarized from tunes included in Activision's The Music Studio for Atari ST. In Action 52 the following games had music from Ed Bogas: Fuzz Power, Silver Sword, French Baker, Streemerz, Time Warp Tickers, and Ninja Assault.

Now about the Cheetahmen:
The Cheetahmen was supposed to be a replica of TMNT and other groups like that. They never made it. I mean, you can't even talk about them, they're horrible. Search online, I can't say anything about them.

Yeah Action 52 was a joke! The games is only priced really high because it's one of the rarest NES games. The "Angry Video Game Nerd" said it best... "What were they thinking!!?"

OMFG that "game" (if you can even call it that) was like 52 slaps in the face for every gamer at the time.
I mean seriously, if you're gonna price it that high, make GOOD games :/

Oh, good times. I remember thinking it was going to be such a good game, (Or games, if you will) and when I played it I facepalmed myself about 10 times. It's that bad!

Videogamegod : I know how you feel, I had to pause the games at times because I would start to almost get a seizure with the flickering and the gray screens.

They have it here but i cant get it to work. i want to try it and see how bad it is but it wont work...i guess ill never know

WHY? I thought that the NES was glorious, but then I discover this 40 gamed monstrosity.
12 games freeze the console, 20 games are space shooters, and the rest are so difficult to play that it just makes the $200 price tag seem like the company that made its death wish. It's clear, and it gets burned if you try to figure out how it works. I found it in the RGR, and it's really as bad as AVGN and others say.

I played this piece of crap on an emulator, and I can't believe how bad it is. It's ridiculous how awful the controls are, I don't mean the whole a and b being switched thing, they are just so stiff.

You people make me wanna play it just to see how horrible it truly is.

EDIT: Tried to get it running with the Java emulator (as the pc I am currently using does not have the plugin, and I do not have permission to install it), and all I got was a glitched up game starring an r that wouldnt let me do anything but die repeatedly.

I've Played an emulator of it and it DID suck I feel bad for anyone who payed $200 for this game cheetahmen didn't even make up for it.

I have watched videos about this game and many said it was a very bad game. I am thinking of playing it am I insane now?

I would never pay even $20 for that horrible game, much less $200. All the games either suck or the somewhat fun ones freeze up. It's horrible

jmc1097 : I'd pay $20. I mean, it's unlicensed, so that adds to the value in some way. Also, you can't possibly expect a game with 52 games in one standard NES cartridge to be good. An NES cartridge can only hold so much data, and the fact that a cartridge with 52 games in one exists should tell you what you're getting into. I don't know if the company that made it or the people who made it used different chips and the like, but I've never opened up an NES cartridge. If I had a copy of Action 52 and a copy of an NES game with the seal of approval on it, I could do a comparison, but I lack either.

Nowadays, there's flash cart NES cartridges that allow you to play the NES roms you have on an SD card. This technology was probably too expensive back then, so Action 52 was never a good idea.
