As far as Water type moves go, Water Spout is incredibly strong. Possibly even the strongest water type move if you use it while you're at full HP. With 150 base power (225 with STAB), 100 accuracy, and the ability to target adjacent foes, Water Spout is an incredibly powerful move that basically nukes everything that doesn't resist it.

The only caveats to Water Spout is that only 5 Pokémon can learn it (with Wailord and Kyogre being the two most noteworthy users), and it requires that you constantly keep your HP high, or at max to take advantage of its devastating power. Take too much damage, and its power greatly diminishes.

That said, despite its limited availability and reliance on high HP, it's still an amazing move. I'll rate Water Spout a 9/10.

The next move to rate is Stealth Rock.

Stealth Rock is a strong move because it punishes your opponents for switching their Pokemon. The extra chip damage can make a big difference in making an attack kill that normally wouldn't, or in preventing your opponent from switching in a low-HP Pokemon that might just die immediately from the rocks. It's not a move that can tear through your opponents team, but it's a very strong tactical move to have. I'll rate it a 9/10.

The next move to rate is Sky Uppercut.

While Sky Uppercut can hit pokemon that use Fly, or Bounce, chances are you're going against a flying type pokemon using those moves. So the move ends up being not super effective most of time. Also, 90 accuracy means its gonna miss 50% of the time. Yes i know the math isn't adding up, but this is pokemon were taking about. 3/10

The next move to rate is Surf

Surf is the best HM move of all time, not only because of its overworked usefulness, but also because of how great it is in battles. It’s the most powerful HM move at 95 power and 100 accuracy, and it can hit everyone in double battles. No other HM comes close to being as useful in both scenarios as surf. For that reason, I’m giving surf a 9/10.

The next move to rate is Bullet Punch.

Bullet Punch can be a really good utility move in the hands of the right Pokémon. Scizor paired with the Technician ability is a great example because Technician boosts Bullet Punch by 50% which brings it to a respectable 60 base power, and then STAB damage adds another 50% boost, bringing it to a whopping 90 base power move with priority!

Unfortunately, this is a very specific example I came up with to illustrate how strong Bullet Punch can be. On its own, without STAB or Technician, you have a 40 base power move with priority. Overall, it's a niche, but effective move if paired with the right Pokémon and ability. I'll rate Bullet Punch a 7/10.

The next move to rate is Hurricane.

I will give like a 6/10. I used it a lot back when I saw big number do big damage but then as I learned and saw more and more of the accuracy it is like the infamous focus blast and misses too much in my opinion.

The next move to rate is Rototiller.

You just used Body Slam on me and now I have to rate it?

Body Slam is a pretty simple move, but it's a good one. It deals a good amount of damage, it has 100% accuracy and the chance at paralysis is definitely a plus. Hitting a clutch para can make a big difference in a battle.

I guess thd biggest downside to Body Slam is it's type. Normal type moves aren't super effective against anything, but they are resisted by Rock and Steel. Additionally, Body Slam can't hit Ghosts types at all. It's useful mostly as a STAB move for Normal types, but how many Normal type Pokemon are you really using anyway? Snorlax, but who else?

Overall, I'll rate Body Slam a 7.5/10.

The next move to rate is Sweet Scent.

Interesting choice.

In battle, Sweet Scent lowers the evasion of all opposing Pokémon by one stage. While that might sound okay on paper, I can think of countless other moves I would rather use that turn for over Sweet Scent. Swords Dance, Dragon Dance, Calm Mind, or any other move that allows you to sweep or setup is infinitely more useful than lowering the opponent's evasion. Sweet Scent also doesn't deal any damage in battle either, which is why I'll rate it a 2/10 overall because it at least has some utility outside of battle.

The next move to rate is Boomburst.

Boomburst is awesome. 140 power with 100% accuracy and no recoil, recharge, or stat drops is insane. It's only disadvantage is that it is a normal-type move, so it is not super-effective against anything. That being said, it's sheer power still makes it a solid choice, especially as a STAB option for a Normal-type Pokemon.

I'll rate it an 8.5 out of 10.

The next move to rate is Fishious Rend.

Hmm... I'm not familiar with this since it's from Gen 8, so I had to look it up.

Normally it has base 85 power and 100% accuracy, which is already incredibly solid, but if the user goes before the target or the target switches into Fishious Rend, then its power doubles and becomes a devastating 170 power instead.

Additionally, this mode doesn't suffer drawbacks like recoil, status conditions, losing a turn, or stat drops. Overall it's an excellent move, so I'll give it a 9/10 only because it's exclusive to the fossil Pokémon of Gen 8 (which I'm not a fan of), and the name "Fishious Rend" for a move just sounds a bit dumb to me, lol.

The next move to rate is Core Enforcer.

I hadn't heard of the move, so I had to look it up, but it seems rather strong. Which is what I expect from a legendary Pokemon's signature move. Surpressing moves is also very strong, as it will limit the other Pokemon's effectiveness in battle.

This is a strong 8/10.

Protect is a move that I always thought was useless as a kid. It's just a waste of a turn! Now, however, I see it's usefulness. In single battles, it can be a great stalling tactic on a defensive Pokemon with Leftovers and Toxic. In double battles, it can be used to protect against a teammates' attack (such as Earthquake or Boomburst) or to bait and protect attacks away from your teammate.

I'll rate it a 9/10.

The next move to rate is Crunch.

Crunch is a solid physical dark type move that has been a staple for dark types for a long time. Is it the best move? No, but it’s pretty solid so I’ll give it an 8.

The next move to rate is Volt Switch.

Any move that lets you deal damage while switching out is excellent for keeping the momentum, which is especially important in competitive play. On top of that, Electric is a solid type offensively.

The only drawback is that Volt Switch is completely negated if your opponent is a Ground type. You won't deal any damage and you won't get to switch out either, essentially a wasted turn. I guess another nitpick is that without STAB or boosting items/abilities, Volt Switch only has 70 base power, which while decent for a pivoting move, isn't amazing. Overall, I'll give Volt Switch an 8.5/10.

The next move to rate is Metronome.

I'm not a big fan because of how much it relies on chance. You'd never catch me using it because I'd rather have have my move spots filled with stuff that I've built a strategy around. Can be useful with luck though. 6/10

Dazzling Gleam is a simple but strong move. It's essentially the Fairy-type equivalent of Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Psychic, Flamethrower, etc. With it's 80 power and 100% accuracy it would be a staple for most Fairy type Pokemon if Moonblast didn't exist. Because of Moonblast, though, it's not nearly as useful, and for that reason I'm only going to rate it a 6/10.

The next move to rate is Supersonic.

Supersonic is definitely a move you should prioritize replacing if you happen to have a Pokémon that knows it (Zubat immediately comes to mind, lol). While the ability to confuse your opponents is always useful, 55% accuracy is absolutely horrid... In Pokémon, 55% might as well be 3%, so it simply isn't worth a move slot unless maybe you're doing a Nuzlocke and you desperately need a status move or something in the early game (even then, there are better, more accurate options available). Overall, I'll give Supersonic a 1/10. The horrible accuracy makes it basically unusable.

The next move to rate is Dragon Energy.

I've never heard of the move Dragon Energy before, but it's probably because it's Regidrago's signature move, and I never played the Sword & Shield DLC. From what I'm reading, though, it looks like a Dragon type version of Eruption or Water Spout. In that case, Dragon Energy has the potential to be very powerful if used early in battle. It becomes useless if the Pokemon using it takes a lot of damage, though. I'll rate it an 8 out of 10.

The next move to rate is Fury Swipes.

Fury Swipes is an okay move to have early game, but is definitely worth replacing as soon as you can learn something better. While Fury Swipes can hit multiple times (2-5 hits), the amount of damage each hit does is pretty underwhelming (18). Now, factoring in STAB damage and if by some miracle you break through the movers mediocre 80% accuracy and land all 5 hits, it becomes 135 base power. Sounds good on paper, but the odds of you landing all 5 hits are pretty shaky. There are plenty of better multi-hit moves out there like Rock Blast, Icicle Spear, and Bullet Seed that have higher power and accuracy than Fury Swipes. Overall, I'll rate it a 2.5/10.

The next move to rate is Extreme Speed.
