Well, if we're talking about my word average, it's currently 55 per post. Like word count, it's a stat I've never cared about and never will, but still, it's interesting to look at just to see where I'm at.

Right now it's sitting at 122 words per post and slowly but surely going down. With it being a TDV month, I'm making a lot of posts in the 20-50 word range that are dragging the average down.

At some point in time when I was a new member, I cared about keeping my average word count pretty consistent, but now it doesn't matter to me as much and I just tailor my posts to be either concise or detailed whenever necessary.

My Average is 54 words per post, and I wish it'd be higher, but with the threads like "What time did you go to bed?", I just say like "I went to bed at around 1:00 AM", and then that is about it. It used to be 60-80.

And with it being TDV month, my average is 15-80, maybe 100+ once in a while.

I agree with people that it's an unimportant stat that does not show the whole picture of a user's post quality. Sometimes less is more and a post does not need to hit 200 words to be a good one.

I do try and add something of value or relevance to every post I make, but I'm sure anybody with too much time on their hands could easily find plenty recent posts I've made that might be a bit lacking.

I've gone up to 65 over the past like 6 months or so.

Writing longer stuff like reviews or character bios has helped a lot. Once you have thousands of posts, you move the needle by such a slim margin with each regular post that it takes months to even go up by one.

According to my profile, right now I average about 103 words per post? It helps that a decent number of the posts I've made have a lot of thought put into them, and that I've made a lot of reviews which are usually at least 500 words if not more. I can still bring those numbers way up, though - maybe a few more reviews might help in that regard?

Well I'm down to 84 now which I'm not surprised at all by it feels like almost never that I click submit reply and even hit 80 words. Hopefully I can stop it from continuing to drop but I guess being more short and sweet as I get older isn't the worst.
