I often lose track of time when writing, be it in the woods under a tree or on discord with a group, or an rp chat. Writing has a way of just taking away my time like magic.

Aside from my obvious gaming habit, I tend to really get lost in TV shows, especially ones that are suspenseful and end on cliffhangers.

I know that when I watch Teen Wolf, which purposefully ends every episode with a cliffhanger, I'm in for at least a four hour session.

For the last two months, the thing that I have been losing track of time on the most is Harvestella. It's my favorite game of 2022 and I think it's one of my top 20 games of all time. I put 60 hours into the game before it was released in November and across my review account and my personal account, I passed the 200 hour mark a few days ago and I don't think I'll stop any time soon because I've been wanting to do some content for YouTube based on this game.

Sometimes I lose track of time when I am organizing my playlists on youtube, because god forbid I lose track of it when I am gaming as well

granted there are days when I am immersed in a task I am doing at work and I look at my phone and all of a sudden a big chunk of time has passed

It should be no surprise working on weather data and making my forecasts has caused me to lose track of time several times. One time I was doing one of my own research projects about climate data and weather patterns. I kept working when I started it was 6 PM before I knew it was 11 PM. I had just got into my work and lost what time it was.

Another example or should I say examples is when working on hurricane data. That causes me to lose track of time more than anything.

Finally, sometimes when I am working on my weather forecasts I lose track of time. Even though I am not on TV it takes a lot of work to make a forecast. I have to look at all the model data, look at the winds in the atmosphere, ingredients, and then what I actually think it is going to do weather wise. This can take up to several hours. Indeed, it is easy to lose track of time.

Being a meteorologist takes a lot of my time. I am so focused and analytical that time can just seem to fly when I'm working on weather stuff.

Been losing track of time through work as of late. With the small amount of time I get to sleep, I be trying to take caffeine pills and just been focusing on work more. At times I don’t even check my clock until a playlist ends and I realized how much time is gone when working without distractions.

Man it feels like every time I am Tour de Vizzing I lose track of time, I've lost so much track of it that I haven't even been checking my youtube playlists for anything no longer watchable on three hour intervals lately (I keep remembering to do it in the morning though)

 Browsing internet sites, watching youtube videos [reading too many of the comments], playing Pokemon, reading books, reading stories off of webpages, deleting notifications, serving customers at various jobs [ "hey Postman, five O'clock, your shift is over, time to go" "what? really? do I have to?" ] sleeping in and afterwards I had no idea what time it was.


Also, I must mention watching television shows, sports coverage, marathoning movies, showering and quite forgetting which bits were already washed [ always out before it runs cold, of course ] because the gentle hum of warm running water on my back makes me feel so contented. Staring at pleasant pictures, munching cookies, checking Emails, online [window] shopping, exploring around town on foot [ did not bring a watch ].


Playing Bejeweled Blitz, writing stories, daydreaming idle imaginings of impossible things, playing Candy Crush Soda Saga and regular Candy Crush Saga. Eating chips, sipping hot chocolate, pacing around late at night.


Attending a wedding, dancing at weekly events, going to a play put on by the Canadian College Of Performing Arts, responding to moves on Words With Friends, eating cake, doing cartwheels, playing golf, doing Super Stick Man Golf on my I pod touch, Tiny Wings on I pod touch, Angry Birds on I pod touch, Plants Vs Zombies on any device including I pod touch, eating a creamy bagel, soft serve ice creams, snarfing crackers [ Triscuits especially ] and of course cheese along with them.

Playing Bubble Witch on a computer, playing Monopoly, playing chess, playing Disney's Scene It with my cousin, doing Scrabble with my mom or Upwords which she likes better. Doing N64 games or Playstation games with my other cousins or brothers respectively. Watching the original Pokemon anime [ English translation ] deserves a special mention.

Eating chocolates, playing Fairyland on computer, tapping out notes of ideas for stuff on my tablet, fantasizing, reading newspapers, doing word puzzles, completing Sudoku, saving pictures, chewing gum, browsing a store for discount items or just items that gain me lots of redeemable points, carrying all the items back home to find I was expected much earlier.

Snacking on gummies or other candy. Playing Microsoft Challenge Solitaire. Doing Royal Match on my new phone. Playing Death Worm on my tablet or my I pod. Gobbling pancakes. Ho hum.

So not every one of these things causes blissful enjoyment but I definitely lost track of time doing each and every one of them.

Well just now I've been trying to re-arrange the latest issue that Youtube keeps dropping into my lap lately but this is a studio issue rather that a playlist issue, I swear I thought it was after seven pm already

Playing video games, watching tv, watching youtube videos. Those are some of the things I've lost track of time doing.

There are a lot of activities I completely lose track of time while doing–gaming, reading, listening to music, watching YouTube videos, building lego, and just surfing the internet. The very first day I decided to play Elden Ring, I got so wrapped in playing that nearly 8 hours came and went and I had to force myself to call it quits and finally get some rest lol.

Over these past few weeks I've been losing track of time with social media stuff. I have a small company and my goal was to gain 10,000 new followers throughout 2025 on its main social media account. I ended up gaining more than 20,000 through three months because of how much time I put into social media, which has been two or three hours every day.

On my own personal accounts I've been spending maybe 5 or 10 minutes per day but I've been putting waaaaay too much time and effort into my work accounts.

I can binge youtube or a netflix show for a whole night and only realize how late (early) it is when I see the sky become lighter through my window.

Recently I've also been calculating battles in a difficult Pokemon game and one of those can take over an hour sometimes.

I've lost track of time 2 times this last week just posting so I guess I'm just in a posting mood as of late.

Sudokus have been eating away at my time on Earth as of recently. There's a YouTube channel that posts some unique ones every day and I go and solve them myself. Some don't take very long, about 20-40 minutes, but some have taken me upwards of 2-3 hours. I love the math and logic behind Sudoku puzzles, not the generated ones but the hand made ones. It feels so satisfying to see it all come together. Only when I truly feel useless and stuck do I play a bit of the video to get a hint from the expert solving it.

I think everyone could agree on gaming, I can play for 5 hours and think it was only 1 hour. Mostly when I play Minecraft, but with other games too tbh.

I start clicking recommended videos on YouTube and end up in some weird places. Before I know it it's like 3 am lol

Can I say posting on Vizzed? I feel like I spend more time looking for threads to post in than actually posting, and then I look at the time and it's been like two hours since I started lol.

Generally if I'm playing a game that I'm REALLY into I can very easily lose track of time. When Yakuza 7 dropped I played that game for literally ten hours straight sometimes without really picking up on how much time has passed. That said, it's very rare for me to get that into something.

I've lost track of time scrolling on my phone. It doesn't happen often because I usually have a kid watching with me when I do it but it has happened. I guess that's kind of the point of the way some social media apps are designed. If they can't successfully suck you in to the point where you stop noticing time going by then they wouldn't be the huge companies they are.

Gaming or watching YT Shorts, what feels like an hour is actually 5 hours, I go on my phone, feel like watching a few YT shorts, and then I realize I watched 100.
