It isn't like I've been inactive, but I thought I would inform vizzed of what I was doing while I was away from home for 10 days. This was a challenging but very fun vacation, and I wanted to share!

First, my family and I had to endure the 16+ hour drive to Cocoa Beach. Instead of pushing through it all at once, we made as many stops as we felt we needed. On the first day of driving, we stopped at a rest area for a picnic lunch of pre-packed sandwiches and bags of chips. It was my most special ham-and-cheese sandwich XD Once it was nighttime and my dad was exhausted from driving, we stayed at a hotel. This was where we ran into our first major problem.

Every hotel we stopped at in the area was packed and didn't have enough room for the 5 of us, except one. That one was understaffed and the lady at the desk was overwhelmed and struggling to get us a room. She was apologetic and we understood so my dad tried to convince her it's OK. After a long wait, we got a room. What a nice room! It had 2 giant beds and a pullout couch. It was well-kept and comfortable. I slept well that night despite the excitement for what was ahead of me.

The next day, we reached Cocoa Beach. Right away, I felt so excited that I really had to go to the bathroom XD You're welcome for sharing that. The place we stayed in was beautiful. Once again I got a pullout couch that was comfortable. I love those things. It was nothing compared to the beach itself though. The vast, spacious beach included complimentary beach toys, hammocks, a firepit, chairs to sit in to watch the sunrise, a grill, tables to eat at, a family room with a TV and a parrot named Birbal, and a lack of people so we never saw it crowded. Finally, they had cats and rabbits that hang out there. One of the cats was very friendly and adorable, but the other was fat and seemingly a bit grumpy. The wild rabbits were scared of us XD

Unfortunately, our next major problem occurred the next day. We stayed on the beach for several hours and even though we applied sunblock once before heading out, that wasn't enough. We suffered through sunburns for the next few days. Every year we go to the beach, this happens. But this time it was way worse. It burned, itched, and made me panic. I felt so bad because my dad had it even worse, and he planned this vacation. The sun completely roasted me (people will laugh that I worded it that way). Thankfully, we were only staying at the beach for 3 days, and on the 3rd day we checked out a couple places away from the beach.

An air force museum was our first stop. It was sort of small but the coolness made up for it. Next was the Kennedy Space Center. I haven't seen such a massive attraction before, nor such an expensive one. I'm pretty sure we only saw a sixth of the place in the 5 hours we were there. We got a bus tour and walked around one of the buildings too. I've always liked learning about space and space travel, but this was a lot to soak up in my brain. It was worth every second.

After checking out of Cocoa Beach, our next big destination to stay at was Disney World. Unlike Cocoa Beach, I had been there before 7 years ago. I can't imagine how much changed in 7 years because I barely recognized any of it except the castle in Magic Kingdom. That's also because we checked out mostly things we hadn't seen last time. The one familiar place that was basically the same was the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. I like that it involves the audience deeply to add to the humor.

Last time I went to Disney World, I went on one ride and couldn't stand it. This time I went on at least
4. They were all slow but not all of them were actually calm. Some, like the Buzz Lightyear ride, had a lot going on. The first night we stayed at Disney World, we saw the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom castle. The castle looked like I remembered it from when I saw it at Halloween-time. Sadly, the only fireworks I got to stand still were the finale ones because it was overcrowded and the staff kept moving everyone farther away. At least the tree in front of me wasn't ugly!

That night, we had multiple major problems afterwards. The line to the bus back to our Cars hotel was immense. It took us an hour of waiting for it to be our turn. By then it was already midnight. If you thought that sounds unbearable, just wait until you hear this. Once I finally got into bed that night, I had my first ever horrible anxiety attack. I felt like I would throw up any minute but I never did. Instead, I shook uncontrollably and needed to talk through it with my mom for hours. She has anxiety problems which is why she helped me. The only thing that worked to stop it was a shower. Even after that, I still felt off. I ended up going to sleep at 5am and having to get up at 11.

Wow, I can definitely say that was the scariest experience I've ever had. I was 16+ hours away from home and I had no idea what to do until I woke up my mom. I prayed and prayed during it but I couldn't seem to keep my thoughts straight. After I got up at 11, I took another shower to feel more awake and get ready for the day. Once I felt awake enough, a burst of emotion came over me. I cried and cried happy tears because God used my mom to help me endure that anxiety attack. I didn't want my parents to hear me cry but I needed to let it out so I ended up hiding for what felt like a half hour. Later, I explained to them about that spiritual moment that still makes me feel like life won't be the same again.

Once I knew I'd be OK, we spent several hours at Hollywood Studios, which was very appealing to the eye and there was a lot for us to do that we'd enjoy. I was cautious because of that anxiety attack, but I felt so much better.

On our final full day at Disney World, we squeezed in so much. We spent the whole day at Magic Kingdom. As we had planned from the beginning, we met up with our former neighbors and spent the whole day with them. One of them is my younger brother's girlfriend he brags about. He's only 9. He got a girlfriend at 9, and I've always been single at age 17! Way to make a brother jealous. Kidding aside, our former neighbors basically gave us a tour of Magic Kingdom and helped my dad figure out how to get fast passes for the rides. That's the only reason why we rode anything. Otherwise, we wouldn't have time to ride any more than one ride. The lines were ridiculous.

To end the night off, we saw a Star Wars show with lasers, fire, and fireworks. It was epic and I'm glad I'm not afraid of that kind of stuff like I used to be.

Finally, there was the 2 days we traveled back from Disney World. It's obvious that I was posting the day away on vizzed during the first one yesterday, but it was still hard because my mom discovered she has a kidneystone again. She had her last one less than a month ago. I didn't want her to go through too much pain without us being home. She took medicine to get her through both days. Finally, we got home tonight and I got to hug my dogs for the first time in 10 days. It's so good to be back home after all the tough things my family and I went through together.

Pacman+Mariofan : I'm glad you had fun during this 10 day vacation! Although many tough things got in the way, you all had a great time at the end. I've been to Disney World at Paris 2 years ago (not sure if it holds the same name but whatever ), and it was really nice. Except the food wasn't yummy there though. That's the only thing that bugged me there. Other than that everything went fine! At my country we're not used to drive for sooo many hours (you guys drove 16! we're used to a maximum of 3-4 hours!) since our country is very small.

Sunburns are annoying as hell! The last time I suffered one was last summer when we spent a week at a beautiful hotel far from home. We were swimming, and my family told me that I don't need to put sunblock for the day, so I didn't and I suffered a burn for 3 days! It was sooo annoying.
I feel bad for you hearing suffered a panic attack. Must have sucked and must have been a pain :/. It's scary. Thankfully everything turned out fine at the end. Also, your 9 year old brother has a girlfriend?! That's very unusual for me XD my Belgian cousin has a boyfriend too and she's only 8! I hate to break it, but very young couples usually don't last long... It is logical I guess. I wish the best for your brother though!

One last thing: Cocoa Beach? Sounds like a Mario location for me, I don't know why...

greenluigi: Yeah, I've heard there is a Disney World in China too from my dad. I don't think they all keep the same name. My real life friend PokeGO+MarioFan goes to China for a vacation every other year so I'll have to see if he'd like to visit that location!

Never listen when someone tells you you don't need to wear sunblock. It is
always a great idea to wear it just in case. Also, it's safest to re-apply it every 2 hours. All I had to do to learn that was listen to my parents read the instructions on the bottle. I suppose we should have done that years ago!

The anxiety attack was miserable but the feelings I had after it were worth it because it helped me enjoy the rest of my vacation more than I normally would.

My brother having a girlfriend started out as a joke between my parents but eventually, he caught onto it and has made it his mindset. He even clings onto her, hugging and kissing her much more than she wants him to XD At this point, we can't just tell him we were kidding and you can't have a serious relationship when you aren't even double digits in age yet. Plus, we live 16+ hours away from them and they never talk except in person. So they would only talk every year at the most!

Even middle school couples don't last long. In fact, you'd be very fortunate to find "the one" in high school. I haven't bothered because I have confidence that if I believe it, God will show me which girl to date when it's time, probably in college.

Cocoa Beach does remind me of Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 64, just because of the common letters. There are many beach levels in Mario Kart games so I don't know if there's a more close resemblance to Cocoa Beach.
