I got a great idea thanks to a friend.

I introduce the Interrogation Thread.

In this thread, you summon someone, and ask them a question. It's like an ask anything, and it's like the Ask Trusted+ Anything if you can see it, but instead of it being a random person, you summon a person, and they answer a question.

If the thread goes a week without the person answering, someone can ask someone else a question.

Here are the rules -

1. I ask someone a question. That someone has a week to respond. In this time, no one else can post in this thread.

2. If the person responds, they summon someone else, and ask them a question. They too have a week to respond. In this time, no one else can post in this thread.

3. All questions are accepted, but if a question is too personal, the person can post, saying they choose not to answer. No actual interrogations.

This goes on forever.

So my victim will be...

Pacman+Mariofan :

How do you feel, knowing you gave me a great idea?

Well, first I want to say that I saw this coming. As for how I feel, I'm happy that this actually became a thread. I might add it to my favorites at some point

pacman1755 : Is this your favorite forum, I'm hoping?

(I just had to summon the other Pacman)

Pacman+Mariofan : Yeah, I would class Innocent Town as the forum I like the most. I am an admin of the page, after all.

legacyme3 : We'll build a new plugin and make Nintendo pay for it.

It's an ongoing thing. We're seeing some progress with stuff around the site being worked on and fixed like the streamers page and how talk about fixing/migrating the Minecraft server. Lotta ground to cover.

What do you think we could do to get traffic back up or at least leveled off? Would advertizing the site be risky?

m0ssb3rg935 :

You need to summon someone else, silly, that's how this game works.

This isn't ask the person below you something, it's drag that person in here forcefully, ask them a question, and leave

Nobody reads rules anymore.

After carefully reading the rules three times, I still somehow managed to miss the whole point of the game. Good job, me.

IgorBird122 : If the "leaked" screenshots of the new Pokémon games on Switch are actually real and any indication of the visuals, how disappointed will you be, if at all, that they're really not that far up from a 3DS game?

m0ssb3rg935 : Normally I'm not really much of a fan of the IT boards, I mostly stay away from this side of Vizzed, but still, screw it. To answer your question, The next core Pokemon games looks like it's going to be disappointing, although there is a saying "don't judge a book by it's cover.. Also, I always follow this rule as well: "I don't believe anything unless the official company announces it", which means I don't believe the whole Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee rumors unless The Pokemon Company announce it, I already experienced this with Gray, Z, and Stars.

Time for the summon Mostly so I can get out of this side of Town
EX Palen : Like I told Moss, what are your thoughts regarding the next Core Pokemon games?

IgorBird122 : I was about to reply to your thread when I saw you asked me the exact same thing here... >.>

Anyway, I don't think the leaked names are for the next core games. Those games should be the start of Generation VIII, and I doubt the only shift is that Pokémon is not on handhelds anymore. I'm sure we'll see a new region and new Pokémon, including the traditional starters (what am I going to eat my popcorn with if it's not the leaked sets of starters and the ensuing discussions?).

The screenshots could be an early build, which means we could still see an increase in graphical design, or said increase could be a game patch released at a later time. I've seen an example of this patch in King of Fighters XIV, and if you look at what changes it brought forth our hopes are still high.

And since you ask for my thoughts, I originally thought that we would only have a single game this time around. That's because the Switch isn't fully handheld and thus trading would not be as easy, and also due to the recent trend of doing updated versions of core games instead of a brand new third game being more fitting for consoles. I am probably wrong on this one, but like you say, only The Pokémon Company will say if I'm truly wrong in due time.

Time for a summon, and since we're talking about the (recent) future of videogames, I shall call upon one of the wisest Vizzed members in this field.

Eirinn : Sony has confirmed they won't reveal any hardware at E3. While not surprising, given that they probably won't announce any over-the-top game either, could this edition be Sony's most disappointing E3 in recent times?

EX Palen : I'm not that wise, I'm just so old that it gives the impression that I would know something at least.

I've been contemplating making an article about this for a little while now, but I didn't really have much to put into it besides my sentiments on the topic, and here's my chance to do just that I suppose.
I never really expected any hardware reveals for a few reasons:
1. Andrew House, while no longer in a position to speak officially of PlayStation matters, a few weeks before the statement made by Layden that there would be no hardware announcements, said that he feels like the time for five year console cycles has ended. I agree, and I suspect that, being so freshly removed from that role, he likely knows a good bit about their approach for the next generation's launch.

2. The PS4, despite what some claim, has plenty left in it. For proof just look at the next big AAA reveal. They're still consistently upping the ante every time, so we haven't plateaued yet.

3. Every console cycle from the PSX until now has gotten longer. 7-9 years worked well last time, and I suspect it's here to stay for a while, especially with mid cycle refreshes now being a thing.

That said, I don't think it will disappointing really since it's what many have argued would happen (software only) this E3, but knowing what little they have revealed, I do suspect that it'll be the most low key presser they've done since 2014, yes. I say this because they've more or less said they were changing gears this year, and would showcase a few games more fully -- and they're all games we've seen at previous conferences, albeit Ghost of Tsushima wasn't at E3 last year, but PSX.

So instead of the frenzy of game reveals we'll probably get a slow in depth showing of a handful of big hitters that are soon to release, much like the showing at the first E3 after a console launch.

On a side note, that makes me think that the PS5 is in full blown development, since their attention, if not solely on amassing a slew of great games to reveal and release, is on something else, something not in the software department. With the PS4 taking something like six years to develop, that doesn't mean too much, but it's an interesting thought.

Pacman+Mariofan : On the topic of upcoming hardware: I recently stated that the Switch's successor would probably launch in 2022. Do you feel that this is accurate, or do you think Nintendo will finally abandon five year hardware cycles this time? And why?

Eirinn : When's the last time I made a post? Wow...

I think this will be accurate because they seem to run out of ideas. Like the Wii U was just an upgraded Wii, basically. And I haven't seen anything entirely new (not that I've looked that hard) besides Nintendo Labo.

Barathemos : Are you sad about Crazy House's threads being pretty much wiped out by inactivity?

(I am so out of it. Just finished school today and I didn't expect to ever make another post.)
