Game seems to be running however I am getting a black screen. My hardware acceleration is on.
Edit - Misread it I thought it needed it on not off. Problem solved.

I've had the same problem for so long. Thankfully, this doesn't occur with all games, just ones that use the MESS emulator. I don't know about you though. The common solution for this problem can be found in this thread:

If that doesn't work, contact Mynamescox44 or Mohammedroxx3. They have both been trying to help me with alternate methods. But my computer is stubborn.
