If you are using Google Chrome, and you encounter a Black Screen with only audio when you play RGR games, here is how to fix this problem:

1. Go to chrome://settings

2. All the way at the bottom of the page, click on "Show advanced settings".

3. Scroll all the way down. Under "System", uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available".

Restart/relaunch google chrome and games should work now.

Pacman+Mariofan : I also have experienced this. I did everything in the directions and my screen is still black, but I never had any audio either. I also tried restarting chrome but its still not working.

I'm having the same problem with the black screen (with no audio) in Chrome as well. I have already tried disabling and enabling flash, disabling the Hardware Acceleration option and restarted Chrome.

Thank you for the help. I tried playing Vizzed on Firefox but couldn't get my keyboard to work (only could click the mouse). I switched to Google Chrome and got the keyboard to work but the screen kept flickering black. I checked out your thread, followed the directions and voilà, got the game to work properly.

I have done this and I still more times than not I have noting but audio and a black screen. 

I have to work with the games I can get to work by resetting and changing the pug in.

I'm not sure what else I can do I have made sure everything is up to date and my setting as posted here are right and still just audio and a black  screen
