Hello everyone!

First off I'd like to say I'm terrible at self-introductions so please bear with me. I'm a recent college graduate with a major in Chinese Language & Literature. I've been gaming since I was but a wee lass with my first console being a Sega Genesis. I enjoy almost every type and genre of game, whether they are old or new and regardless of platform. I simply just love to game! That's why this website was such a great find for me as now I can play not only the games I loved as kid, but also the ones I wanted to play but never had the opportunity to. I'm not really sure what else to say so if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

Welcome to the site! Cool to see another Sega Genesis/Mega Drive fan as a change of pace from the Nintendo crowd It was my very first console too, I remember playing a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Aladdin on it. Today I'm an all round gamer though and just like you enjoy playing just about every genre.. Also Chinese Language&Literature sounds like a really cool major. I haven't started university yet, but I too have an interest in East Asian history and culture (been learning Japanese for a year now and looking into studying it at a university level eventually).

Congrats on graduating college! I only have one more year until I graduate high school and that's crazy for me to imagine. I've played a few Genesis games on vizzed before.

Yeah, this site gives gamers a huge chance to play favorites from when they were younger. I discovered the site 8 years ago and before I registered, I played many different versions of the games I grew up with until then. I thought it couldn't get any cooler and then I registered and loved posting!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I'm happy to see there's such a good community on this site as well because in the end that's what really makes or breaks any community-based activity (such as forums or mmos). 

As for those questions, I'll write my answers down below:

What was your first/ favorite Genesis game?

Well I was really young when I played it so the only thing I actually remember playing was Sonic. I don't remember which one, but I remember playing that a whole lot. We sold the Genesis early on too so I didn't get to grow up playing it either

Where are you from?

I'm actually from the US but during my studies of Chinese we were encouraged to look at other languages as well just to understand the basic differences between different language families. In that time I also met my best friend who happens to be German so that's where my name comes from. Grammatically speaking it should be Koenigin der Nacht, but that doesn't really fit most username/ gamertag length requirements and so NachtKoenigin was born. ^.^

Yeah it was really fun to study. It's nice when you have a major that let's you travel a bunch too. It was a lot of hard work too though. Languages at the upper collegiate level usually are. Lower/ introductory levels usually aren't too bad (depending upon the person's learning style).

I played Sonic once before but it's been a while. Speaking of selling video game consoles, I chose to sell my Wii once I was gifted a Wii U for Christmas by my parents. It was a bad idea to sell it to GameStop because I only got about a fifth of its price back :/
