Have the layout pages been going through changes and I just missed it? Whenever I try to edit my advanced layouts, I get an error message from Google Chrome. It tells me to try going to the homepage. I do and I check my profile page. It displays my layout as completely wacky and I'm afraid to see if the layouts still work in actual posts.

Yeah, a lot of pages have stopped working recently that are on old site code, it might be a disconnect or something, I've got no clue if it's an issue or if David is working on something.

Barathemos : Kind of a late bump, and forgive the nooby question as I don't recall much about the short time I actually looked into HTML and CSS, but do both the old layouts that get messed up while editing and the new layouts being made that are having problems both rely on style tags and that sort of thing? I think I recall David saying that any code that could be potentially page altering was blocked. All of my layouts are made with layers of dividers.

I've made layouts with all different sorts of tags,but none of them seem to work anymore. It's such simple code, idk why the site would block any of it.

Basic layouts should work because the code for them is already in the site, you're only updating it. The advanced layout editior uses code that you can completely change, which is understandable with it potentially being a safety thing.

I'd like to note that if you are using HTML only for the code of your layout (no CSS) then the problem is either an apostrophe or a quotation mark in the code.

I recently tried to edit my layout, which is all html and no css, and the site rendered my layout as a green box with broken images... maybe that only happened because I'm an admin (who knows).
