Love can be a powerful thing. It makes you feel warm inside and soothes your worries. On the other hand, unrequited love is just the worst. You build the courage to confess, and you get rejected. At other given times, you may love someone, but never act on those feelings, or the person you might love may never notice your poignant feelings. Love is complicated, right? How did your experiences end up?

Love can be a good or bad feeling, most of the time it will be a bad feeling at least for me anyway. Doesn't help that it's February.

I'm really spiteful right now so my opinion is going to be one-sided and biased LOL, but all in all it's what makes us human. 

I'll comment more later. Right now I can't think of anything positive to say about it that doesn't make me feel like I'm just blowing hot air haha

I don't really know if I'm even qualified to answer, since I don't think I've ever experienced it first-hand. All I have is what I've gathered from every relationship I've ever seen. In the past, I've labeled it a terminal, degenerative brain disease, the official end of your life and the death of any and all personal future goals, etc. But not having experienced it first-hand, that could be completely biased and/or uneducated of me. At the same time, I don't really know if I want to experience that....

Love is always used improperly. People think affection is love, and it is not.

Love is where you deeply care for someone, you're selfless when it comes to them. You don't help them because you want to, you do it because you feel or know you should.

That is to say that love and romance aren't really related, romance and affection / attraction are.

Platonic love is the only true love. Affection and attraction are simply an illusion that makes people feel better, which is totally fine. I encourage it.

When we get down to it's core, love is honestly just a reaction of chemicals in the brain (Mostly Oxytocin in the Dopamine receptors) which is used in a variety of ways. Hitchhiking on what Yoshi said, true love really can only exist when loving one self. Which is narcissism, whether on a small or extreme level.

Honestly, Love is just a survival tool. Parents love their children since human children require constant attention from adults far longer than most other species do. People love their friends since humans are social creatures, and require social interaction to stay mentally and emotionally healthy. And obviously, love is required to facilitate the continuation of our species, along with other reasons (Loving only one person reduces the risk of an STD, for example).

Overall, love is just a chemical that is bias towards our survival instincts, in a sense.

Love can understood as being together for the rest of your life. Or being close with family. But love can also be a motive for something very cruel. Like murder. So love can be dangerous too. But when i was 3, my mother's love healed me from a VERY dangerous disease that actually killed me. I actually already fell from the edge but my mother grabbed my hand and pulled me up again.

My experiences with love would be all about my family. I never had the opportunity to actually confess to my crush and start a relationship and stuff. Might even just give up everything i have left then.

I agree with that last sentence, that "love is cute"! But eh... I actually think that too because of some art i've seen from fictive characters. And no, i do not mean art that's not allowed here.
