Hey, not sure who else has noticed (besides Scar this morning) but the server is back up.

It's also now on 1.11. However, none of the maps show up anymore and now it's some generic survival map.

I'm pretty happy about this but I doubt many others are. I'm playing and have started a very basic building at 0,0 with a handful of supplies if anyone cares to join me. There are no mods or anything so no grief prevention or anything.

Sonicolmstead : ironically it took a server move and upgrade to give me what I want

And yeah, I can imagine it being a bit confusing to see a building when the server just moved.

I'm going to make the most of it though. Maybe if I build enough stuff we'll keep the world

Maybe I will pop into the server just to check it out!

I'm done setting it up on the new sever but I haven't migrated any of the previous data yet. That will take place over the next few days. Users are free to play on it though in the mean time but nothing from it's current state will be saved.

Awwww, I'm having a lot of fun with this new map. Starting from scratch and building everything back up again. Lots of fun =/ Even had a couple visitors while I was at it.

Hopefully this means that we'll get a 1.11 world though which I'm happy about. I've had enough of the old survival worlds and am looking forward to a fresh one.

geeogree : Yeah we'll definitely get a 1.11 world since we'll finally be upgraded.

Yeah I just started playing on it this morning for an hour or so and I got to say I love the new world and starting out with nothing just like in the beginning. I am going to admit I did die once. But I'm back and gaining achievements and collecting as much supplies as I can. 

Edit: I WILL BRING ORDER TO THIS NAMELESS WORLD!

well, I never thought I would say this but I'm looking forward to having some of the mods back.... I logged in today and noticed that basically anything and everything of value was stolen out of my house.

I guess I'll be waiting until the old stuff is back before I bother playing again.

Darnit, now I'm wishing I had a computer that could run Minecraft. I used to play on the vizzed server a lot but my graphics card broke so now I have to wait a long time before I get a new one, and by then the server will be back to normal...

yoshirulez! : Your not really missing much the server has been down for about a week I think it is now. I really wonder whats up with it :/

I hope the server will be back up soon and I'll have some way to join you guys, I kinda miss playing minecraft.

Sonicolmstead : yeah, I think David was working on getting the old maps moved across and then something unrelated broke that took his focus off of the MC server.

So, the server has been completely down for at least a week.... is it coming back ever?

Just curious because as loyal as I am to this server I don't want to wait forever for it to come back if it isn't coming back.

I also realize that it isn't a super high priority compared to other things around here but that won't ever help it be popular if it is constantly down.

Darn me and my predictions and deja vu!! I can't afford to see history repeat itself here. There must be something we can do!

ScarTheScarab : What are you going on about? it was a server move David is likely busy with work and other things on the site. Plus it was just the holidays so I bet he had less time than because of them seeing how he just moved the server it's highly unlikely he'd close it at least that's what I think.


geeogree : as far as talking to the admins they know nothing about the server not coming back so I guess it's just a waiting game

I cant help but notice a icon for a server named NYNcraft.net showing where vizzeds ip is listed on my multiplayer server list. Its bad enough i cannot think up any more graphics for ff2!

Now I see that things are ever so further looking like they be going south! its not good!

Oh how unfortunate these times of the vizzed mc server are!

ScarTheScarab : The server transfers have taken a bit longer than anticipated and the server doesn't bring in any revenue as of now so it's not as high on the priority list as other things that David is working on, meaning that the server isn't gone but rather waiting on David to catch up. So, good news! You'll be able to watch us play again from the map in no time!

I know you're being sarcastic and trying to say that this is as a result of my decision to ban you, but I'm very confident that this has absolutely nothing to do with you. Honestly I've yet to see a reason to regret my decision to ban you and your posts here only confirm to me that I made the right call. If you'd like to convince me that I should regret my decision, I'd suggest showing me that you're not just looking to do whatever you feel like doing and actually have some desire to see the server grow in a way that benefits everyone (not just yourself).

tl;dr: I don't regret banning you, you still come off as selfish, if you want me to regret my decision you're gonna have to give me a reason to.
