Preview for this looks pretty good. Looking forward to a proper Marvel Spiderman movie. I liked some of the previous ones but I'm hoping this one really excels so that we can get a good series of movies.

I am a spiderman fan and I am extremely excited for this movie now. I liked Tom Holland as Spider-man in Captain America Civil War and I still have the same opinion after seeing this trailer.

Just finished watching the trailer for this, and it looks absolutely epic. It seems like Vulture will be the villain, so I wonder how that will go. This looks like it will be the best Spiderman movie out of all of them, so I hope it lives up to what the trailer showed. Plus, Tony Stark is in it, which makes it 100 times better.

I agree about including Tony Stark. I really wish the earlier super hero movies had more crossover in them even if they are just cameos and what not. Makes the universe feel more real and developed.

Why do we need a movie about Spiderman's homecoming dance? I didn't even know thus was a movie until this thread actually.

Let's recap, first series got more and more cheesy and ridiculous as the movies went on. Second series, felt more rushed than anything, and had bad character development for everyone besides Peter and maybe Gwen. Then Fox realizes that making super villain based movies seems like a stretch (are they actually still doing that or did they give up?) and gives Spoodermang to Marvel Studios. Now I've seen them manage to succeed with odd concepts, Ant Man was a success and Iron Man is still entertaining. Spiderman however has been tough, as the series actually started a trend of Stan Lee's classics dealing with both superhero and average lives. Stan Lee has referred many times how when he first pitched in the ideas for Spiderman to his editor, he said nobody will care about a teenager dealing with social problems. A love life, depression, dealing with loss, viewers want someone to look up to, not someone who comes off as weak. But as Spiderman comics became a huge success, we saw more and more relatable heroes in comics, and that seems to be the Marvel Studio's forte. We've seen the Hulk go through fighting his inner demons, Captain America leave his life behind, Iron Man face his own growing mortality, and recently, Dr. Strange push back his ego (another great movie btw). If there's anyone who can balance off the fun superhero qualities of Spiderman with the inner struggles of Peter Parker, I believe it's these producers.

I want this movie to be good. Sooooooo bad!!!! But Sony still has their accursed mits around this movie, and it shows. Although I am really hoping that this Spiderman will be good. I mean, Civil War alone was better than the Amazing Spiderman series. But nothing has beaten out the originals so far.

I hope this is good, I like spiderman a lot and would not like him to have anymore bad movies.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. I think it has much more potential to be great than The Amazing Spider Man movies did. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, because Spider Man is my favorite super hero, and I want to see him have a new movie as great as Spiderman 2 was.

I'll watch it, because it is part of the Marvel Cinamatic Universe. However, I think that this might be that one bad movie out of hte bunch that nobody likes to speak of. (Kinda like the Star Wars prequels, even though I liked them) 

The only memorable spider man movie for me was the first one. I never remember much of 2 and 3 and I never saw any others. I'm not interested in spider man anymore, that's for sure. Just doesn't seem to be very interesting.. I dunno how this one will go but I doubt I'll be seeing it.

I'm not really interested in it all that much. I liked the orignals with Toby and I liked Amazing Spider-man, but my interest was kind of killed with all of the different changes in reboots, especially after there was so much that had to be revealed. The only thing that I am really looking forward to for this movie is strictly the interactions between Parker and Stark, really want to see how their characters work together, nothing more.
