I dunno if this thread has been created before. But how many hours have you spent on playing a game before? Like for me I have been playing Dragon Quest 8 a lot, and my hours on the game is 277:23. That's mine as an example to see what I meant. This could be for any game you play on any console. You can list down how many games you wish to say.

I'm pretty sure that I have now put in more than 1,000 hours into Minecraft among all consoles.

zanderlex : I know I have played around that many hours. Its just that well those hours I have are with past games like FFX. I can't remember the others sadly.

zanderlex : Yeah a few or some games. It depends if I am grinding well for a reason in a game I am playing. I just don't get to that many as I used to in the past really.....

Eniitan : Oh wow, I would never be able to put that many hours into a few, Minecraft was just the only exception.

I've put over 200 hours in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle over the +10 years I've owned it, but more than half of those hours belong to the time I spent gathering data for my guide.

That's the only game I clearly remember the time I've spent into, because it appeared right on the loading screen. Other games I have invested a lot of hours into are Gran Turismo 6, Kirby Air Ride, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Gran Turismo PSP and Tekken 6, but I have no control over how many hours I've played them on an exact or even approximate value because I've owned them for so long (and I don't own one of them anymore so no way to check).

I'll hardly dedicate as much time to other games I own because I'm not as attached as I was before. My most recent game is at barely 21 hours and I'm nearing completion of everything I can do, and obviously I doubt I'll keep playing this game for several years from now unlike most others I've mentioned above.

EX Palen : that's pretty cool list you have there. And that's the thing really we won't play games as much as we used to, or won't really delicate times to play with other games. It would depend as you said how attached you are to them. I hope your summon works palen since I am posting from my phone.

Eniitan : lol, yes that is a big thing. Just doing it for minecraft took almost 3 full years of playing every day, so if you can do that multiple times, that is big.

I've spent just over 225 hours on my first play through of Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube when I first got it way back when. I don't recall how much time it took on my second one after buying the ReMastered PS3 anniversary edition, so it's probably about 100 hours more, give or take a little.

I've spent around 325 hours or so into Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It's a very "under-the-radar" Action RPG that never got the limelight it deserved.

I've spent just under 450 hours into Final Fantasy 13 spanning Three different times through the game. It's definitely in my top 3 among the franchise. FF7 and FF8 also deserve mentioning, but there's no way for me to know how many hours I've played, since I started playing them over a decade ago.

I've spent just over 600 hours into Skyrim, spanning Three different characters going through the game. One of them I actually managed to clear every single dungeon / cave / fortress that was possible with the choices I made. 

And lastly would be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with a whopping 1250+ hours played. I used to play this game for 6 hours a day, and was ranked really well on the Global Leaderboard. I probably have close to that same amount of time also invested into CoD: Black Ops as well, so it's easily the franchise I've spent the most time playing. Though this was all time spent in online multiplayer lol.

There's probably another handful or so of games that would fit on this list, but these are the main ones that come to mind.

Wow, thinking about all this made me realize how much I used to game before university...

Before, when I actually had time, I logged over 800 hours into Skyrim. I made about four or five different characters, all of which were sneak/conjuration based characters. Every play-through, I tried to 100% each time, but had to stop thanks to, well, life.

I also put a lot of time into FIFA 16. It's a great game to play with my siblings, considering we're all huge football fans. The amount of Arsenal and Manchester United matches we've played over the years is crazy. I made my own career mode character as well, which is a really underrated mode thanks to how little emphasis EA put into it. I managed to get a 93 overall CAM, which I thought was impossible. I easily played over 1000 hours of FIFA.

Back when I was younger, I played a lot of Pokemon. Like, a lot. I don't remember how much hours I've logged exactly, but I have every generation up until X/Y, including some of the side games like the initial Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games and Pokemon Colosseum. If I were to sum up all of my time playing those, it would be colossal. A guess, considering when I began playing and how much I did, would be upwards of 1000 hours as well. 

Also, Minecraft. It's sorta needless to say, really. I played Minecraft a lot with my siblings on huge servers, and we also made our own servers using those free domains you can find online. That was really fun, and while I really want to get back into it, it's kind of hard now that I've fallen out of love with it. I put, maybe, 200-300 hours into that alone?

Final Fantasy 4 Advance took up a lot of my time when I was still playing it. I had a bad habit of leaving the game running overnight, despite the quick-save function, so the clock maxed out at 99:99 before I finished the game. After I finished the game, though, I ran through the Lunar Ruins...well, I wasn't keeping track, but it must've been at least a hundred times. I used it as an easy way to kill time whenever I was feeling bored, and I ended up with a party that was nearly impossible to kill. I did every single thing that there was to be done, and I eventually stopped playing it...only to pick it up again and try a second playthrough, since I'd forgotten what it felt like to not be invincible. I didn't finish the game that time, but I put at least 10 more hours into it...yeah, let's just say that I played that game a lot. The only reason I don't have an exact amount of time is because the in-game clock maxes out at 99:99...

Eniitan : Probably Minecraft (I don't play anymore) or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Either 60 or 70 hours into the game, I haven't checked.

Mynamescox44 : Hmm that's a pretty good of record time you have there for those games. I didn't think you would spend so much time on call of duty but then again I am sure most people do. It just depends on what games you are attached too more.

NovemberJoy : lol well yeah at times when grinding in games we tend to get bored sometimes. We come back to it to play again to do some more grinding so I feel your pain on that.

I have over 2100 hours into Final Fantasy XIV... that's 87 days. Sheesh. Non-MMOs, I probably have the most time in Mass Effect 3 with a solid 260~ hours. Second best would be Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain with 214 hours. Others are Fallout New Vegas which rings in around 180 hours, Fallout 3 was about 120, Final Fantasy XV is 95 hours right now, Witcher 3 is 85 for now, Final Fantasy VIII was 57, and the list goes on. I like playing games I can sink a lot of time into

Does this count on replayability? If so, there are many games I have put hours in.

Sim City 2000, I have probably put 400-500 hours into. The Sims probably 1000 hours. Flight simulators and racing sims a few hundred hours. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth I've put a good chunk into. I've put a lot of hours into Team Fortress 2 and Garry's Mod. It all depends on the game really.

Warframe is probably the game that I have played the most of. I have recently created a new PS4 account, and I currently have about 5 days of playing time on it ( which is about 120 hours ). But on my original account, I think I had about 11 or 12 days worth of playing time on it ( I would say around 270+/- hours ) ... which altogether, I would have probably close to 400 hours of game time playing this one game lol

I also remember on the very first Black Ops ( PS4 ), which is still the only game where I've achieved the max prestige on multiplayer, I had close to 20 days of multiplayer game time ( which is NOT counting playing zombies and the campaign ). That might even be closer to 500 hours. Wow...

I spent like 500 hours on Pokemon Diamond. Me and my friends would constantly run around the region and always managed to find something to do.


Most would be Minecraft however. I have over 641 hours on the Vizzed server alone.

I have never spent that long on a video game (with the exception of sports titles as they never have an ending as such and you can play them continuously for eg Pro Evo 2012-2017 all have over 2,000 hours put in). With games that have an ending as such I tend to beat them very quickly and I tend to move on immediately ( I have too many games as it is already and I need to play them at some point). The longest is probably Kara no Shoujo (very graphic and disturbing visual novel set just after world war 2 Japan) which I ended up getting 150 hours mainly due to the fact that it is easy to get bad endings without a guide at hand.

Rasenganfan2 : Hey that's amazing hour that you have! Its not everyone who will be able to reach certain hours in game. Well it depends how free you are to play and grind in whatever you are doing in the game. ^-^

HeavyMetalGamer : Lol. I didn't think someone would be addicted to sim city with that many hours its a good thing though. Yeah it depends on what games you like playing more with that those games will get in more hour times than the others.
