Have you had any fails while posting such as the site going down when posting (or it going down when your about to make history) or your internet going out while posting? I'm afraid that I'm gonna become the first person to make 1000 posts in one day but the board goes down for maintenance when I'm at post 999 and doesn't come back up until the next day. I'd like to think that if Davideo7 saw that I was very close to 1000 posts in one day that he'd delay the site maintenance so I could finish before the top posters resets etc but then there's the internet/computer going out as well.
And the Hy-Vee Heros game goes to wait for it, wait for it!

Honestly, if you can make 41.66667 posts per hour consistently over a 24 hour period (without spamming of course), then by all means you deserve the record. You would literally have to make posts back to back in less than 1.5 minute gaps for the entire day.

I always make sure to copy any post over 100 words now before posting, so I can just paste it again if it doesn't go through.

More often than not, when doing my job as Sony Manager I see that the site has suddenly gone down, sometimes for more than an hour. Because the job isn't enough taxing by itself for needing 6 or more tabs open at the same time and having to check them all almost constantly, you know.

Sometimes I've also seen that the site went down for quite a while when I was just typing a reply. It really is a pain, but hopefully I have ways of noticing if the site is down or not before actually submitting a reply, and that allows me to safely copy my reply to Word and paste it from there once the site goes up again and it's safe to post.

This happens to me like... twice a week because of our unreliable connection. If I recall correctly, TheFadedWarrior made a post about this suggesting that there should be a Save as Draft function, which I think PMs could possibly benefit from, as well. For the time being, if you're going to be typing up a really long post like a guide, review, article, etc. or if you wind up making a longer than intended post, as I'm doing now, it would be a good idea to copy the whole of the text to your clip board or save a local copy in a text document.
