Geeogree: Yeah I'll try and get the vizzed Logo on as many of the items as possible. I know a few custom print places, plus my mother in law works at one.

Yeah! Vizzed has a bunch of neat stuff, like that nifty bazooka and the swords!

If the stuff has the logo of vizzed on it, then I probably will buy some stuff, because that would be really cool to have a vizzed controller !

Well David, the people have spoken. There are a bunch of "Yes"s and "Maybe"s, and not a single "No". When you're ready you should start setting up the store and give it a shot. Depending on how much things go for you'll probably make around $700 in the first two weeks. As more people more join and see the merchandise you'll keep getting funds bit by bit. I can't really predict what I think you'll make after that but website stores don't really fail as long as you don't rely on them as a main source of income.

Cyro: The only problem is, I have a strong feeling that more than half of the people who voted yes wouldn't actually by anything ever. If I can find a way to optimize the process as much as possible it might be worth it but at this point I'm still debating if I'd be making enough profit to make it worth it.

Because for one thing, everyone is going to expect me to sell cheap (and I also promised it) so I'd be making probably $1 or $2 profit per an item and at that rate I'd have to sell 100 items a month just to make $100 - 200. But like I said, if I can find a way to automate this or let some external shop site (like cafepress) take care of all the shipping (which is where most of the time goes) than I'll be more willing to consider doing this sooner rather than later. Either way I'd like to eventually do this, it's just a matter of when I feel I've got enough traffic and interested users.

But than again, some of the items wouldn't be in the shop to make a profit. For example, the controller would be there so that users could play the games more enjoyable and have a controller that didn't require additional setup. The products, like the T-Shirts, that have the Vizzed Logo could be a way of advertisement since others will see the site.

Another possible item would be like a Gift Card but with Viz points on it. So a user would buy a $20 Gift Card and give it to someone and that someone could enter the code on it on vizzed and get 20,000 Viz.

I am willing to pay 60 over dollars for a REAL mega drive game, if your selling that then I will vote yes, but the problem is that the store is only going to be where you live, and me living here at singapore, won't get a chance to buy anything .

Also if you ARE going to make a real store ( can be a yard sale) then I think selling cards that give you a bit more Viz then donating might help (20 dollar card with code for 30,000 viz, extra 10,000 if you buy this instead of donating).

I also think that vizzed board should have contests to win stuff like "vizzed elite rank" (can only enter contest if your trusted) or an item shop item that you can only get if you win the contest, and to enter the contests, you must buy something like the gift cards from the store and stuff.

I also think you can sell some old but awesome games at your store, maybe games like dreamcast and gamecube (mega drive and NES are not likely, because of how hard it is to find them).

Actually, this thread gave me an idea that I am not going to tell so soon .

David, one idea I got would be to run specials each month. First purchase for this month gets "10,000 Viz for free" something like that could attract attention.

If it were me, I would start the store with gift cards it's the easiest and most profitable way to go for now. No shipping, fast transactions What more could you ask for.

I definetely dont need the stuff thats up for purchase but I would buy some for support.

Didowe: Like I've said twice now, this is an online store, I'm not suddenly rich enough to open up a real store lol. I doubt I'd be selling games, that'd require a lot of money to invest into and as I said, I really don't have much money to invest into this.

JigSaw: Yeah I'll offer various incentives and gift cards are nice because they can be digital.

Are there any plans to do more stuff with $viz? Because just buying the laptop with your $Viz is the only real point to having any. After that, it just kind of sits there.

Well as you know you can buy items in the itemshop that increase your stats. These serve no real purpose yet but I've got some pretty big and vizzed exclusive features coming this spring which will take advantage of them

To answer the question:
I myself would probally not buy anything from a Vizzed online store except to maybe show support.
It might cost more then it's worth to ship the types of items mentioned on page one to me so I probally wouldn't buy anything unless it was really hard to come by or I got a really good discount that offsets the postage.

I appreciate the honesty. Yeah most things shipping overseas would be pretty expensive unless it was something small that could fit into an envelope (such as a gift certificate or a pack of cards).

If there was a shirt or hat, or something like that, that said Vizzed on it, I would most definitely buy it.
