Ok so I was going to do this thread last night, but I....couldn't everything happened so fast. So to understand what I mean by this I'll tell you from when it happened till now today as I am posting about it. I went to church last Sunday since my mother said it has been a while. Like on Saturday the day before. I was confronted by a friend in the church her name is Joy she is a young adult like me and we have Kick Back nights on Wednesdays not every Wednesday though. So she said something about her friends wedding and she didn't explain more on the subject so I all I could say was ok? So I saw her at church she was sitting in front of me. When we were told to greet people behind or around you. She turned around and she was shocked and happy to see me. Anyways. After church had finished she went on explaining about what she was trying to say. Saying her friend was having trouble finding a baker with a good price for a 4 tier cake. Because most people were charging around 100 pounds which would be 124.49 dollars. Anyways so my eyes went really big she told me she thought of me as soon as her friend told her about the dilemma. I said I can't make that decision. I dragged her and I said come lets talk to my mother since she is my manger. So her was the funny part I went to my mother without a word and took her arm and dragged her to Joy she gave me this confused look while the others laughed. So anyways joy explained because it was still too loud in the church we went outside. So we spoke and well.....I will be doing a 4 tier wedding cake!! Man am I so excited.

Anyways if that wasn't any exciting enough another friend of mine in church named Kemi she asked if I could make a cake for yesterday the kickback night. Since there was an event it was young women's kickback night this time around. So I told my mother the other good news I was jumping up and down foe joy. Is such a rare thing to be asked on the same day to make cakes for 2 different events. So I told my mother here is what happened. She wanted Kemi to pay for the ingredients which is 30 pounds, and that's 37.35 in dollars. so....kemi assumed I was doing it for free and I wasn't. So I told my mother what she said and all my mother said was ok and I was pretty much sure she meant you can't do it ok. So I was well doing a few things on Tuesday night I spoke to my mum about joy and what she texted. At that time she texted the design of the cake her friend wanted. I got 3 picks and I have to say uh....it wasn't what I was expecting. Her friend sended me pictures of like 6 or 7 tier cakes. I showed my mother and she assumed she got the tier number wrong which in turn was saying no you can't do this cake. So I know that wouldn't be the case I asked Joy to double check because I know she asked for 4 tier. And she got back to me as expected she wants a 4 tier but she wanted either one of the designs that she sent to me. So I proved my mother wrong let her know and all was cool. Then she said this which annoyed me make me to have mixed feelings was upset at her and was in panic mode here it comes....she said are you not supposed to be making a cake for tomorrow? Dun dun dun! I was like....WHAT! But mum you said no! I remember! She said I didn't say no I said ok! And I was growling in annoyance saying you didn't clarify what you said properly!! I was in panic it was after 6pm in the evening. I had no ingredients no decoration to do. So I flew to my room searched on Google for the simplest ideas. Then I rang my uncle explaining everything he said he will be able to take me shopping because he was coming to my home anyway. I then got ready then rushed to the kitchen to clear my baking table and get out what was needed for decoration wise.

my uncle came so we went to Tesco brought the stuff got back. And I started to bake the cakes. I didn't go to bed till like 4am in the morning if you guys wondered why I was still up so late. Plus I had not finish my posts for the day. The next day was a big problem. There was no one to take me to church I asked around. The person who normally takes me she said she had exams and will be finishing late so.....she will be going to church from university. My uncle couldn't do it because he was going to Nigeria. My mother also couldn't do it because she had an appointment. I already had everything to set up and decorate, but I said there is no point in decorating a cake if I am not going to the event. So then a miracle happened like after 4pm in the day. My mother rang me saying her appointment got cancelled. I was silent for a min. She then say Eni I don't want your hard work to go to waste. It would mean you staying up late was all for nothing. This is what all I said. I can't promise anything, but I will see what I can do. I dropped the phone went to the kitchen took a deep breath and got into the decorating I constantly said to myself do not panic do not panic! *looks at the time* do not panic! I am happily able to say I was able to get it done.....within 2 hours of the time I had to leave and that.....is my best record ever. Never have I bee able to do such a thing before and its something I can be proud of. I took the cake the church many were surprised the see me and with 2 cakes as well. The other one I brought out from the freezer called lemon cake. Everyone enjoyed and rushed it all I heard was mmm man this cake is good! Most went for seconds taking a chunkier slices while others try to quickly grab what was left to take some home. Here are the pictures










I decided to do a before and after picture lol as you can see above the cake was whole. 5 mins later it looks like this in the bottom. The cake to the left is the lemon cake. The girls really enjoyed the cake and this shows.






I have to say this wasn't the design I had in mind to do, but I had to come up with something on the spot. We finished late like nearly to 11pm got home told my mum how it went I couldn't sleep because I needed to finish my posting. My fanfiction post up was a bit sloppy you could tell I was really tired. I was surprised though I managed to get in 30 posts. Also while I was at it I had to sort out my toes then when I had what I got done finished I went to bed and....didn't wake up till like after 12pm. And I was like oh crap I am supposed to get to 40 posts today and I got up late. So anyways that's the story lol. I did say it was too quick I couldn't say it to most of my friends on vizzed so I thought to make a thread about it instead to clear things up. I'm still a little tired but its fine I'm good at recovering when need too.

I love cooking to a passion, but props to you on not taking stress on dealing with multiple cakes that had to be done within the time limit, and it appears they turned out very good.

SuperCrash64 : Yeah it wasn't easy you should had seen me on Tuesday evening running around like a headless chicken in a state of panic. When something happens and it becomes too overwhelming for me to um handle? Lets say the best thing for me is to release it by panicking. Then I used that energy up and calm down....and yeah when I heard they were charging that much I was like ok.....what if she got someone of that to do it for her and the cake didn't taste as good at it looks. Yes decoration counts, but also the love of making and baking the cake counts in a lot more. lol for that youtube link so funny. And also that picture of Buu and Vegeta lol. That was the episode with celebrations with marjin buu.

Still remember that episode clear as day.

Since she was going to church yesterday I mean Joy. I took some samples so her friend can have a taste of the cake to see if she likes it or not.

Wow, looks like that cake was pretty great judging by the way it disappeared! xD Like the old saying (that's been butchered) "the proof of the pudding is in the eating", and well...your " pudding" was certainly well eaten. Lol

Looks like you pulled it off. I would suggest in the future,if you get talked into making cakes,have it in writing. Look at it this way,at least you are not in the bakery section of Wal-Mart (or the British version of it).

Oldschool777 : Um thanks for posting in the thread lol. And thank you. I already have everything I need about that done so no need to worry about that. I always plan ahead if you don't know that. I didn't ever plan on like baking in a shopping store and to sell it.
