Fame is pretty subjective. On one hand, it could allow you to amass a great amount of fortune and a good deal of acknowledgement. On the the other hand, fame could also lead to wide scrutiny and ridicule, depending on the situation,, and your private life is a lot more suspectible to interference. Would fame interest you, honestly? 

Fame is a double edged sword. Now, I would be lying if I told you that I've never wanted recognition, but it's just human nature that causes that selfish impulse. I actually don't like the idea of fame at all because it draws a whole lot of undesirable attention. I like being off the radar, so to speak, for the most part. At the same time, I feel like it's hard to accomplish anything on a large scale without wide recognition. If you're not connected, not wealthy and obscure, then you just don't have the means to actually change anything. I would rather have whatever future achievements be famous than just being famous myself, but I guess that's a little like waiting on crops to grow without ever planting seeds.

I don't care for fame to be honest. I like the quiet, subdued lifestyle I live now, I wouldn't trade that away for attention and the paparazzi for that matter (perhaps the biggest deterrent for me). I'm also not keen to living a famous life with the possibility of false rumors, drama, and also stalkers. Even though these are all events that can happen to a regular person that isn't famous, the chances of them happening skyrocket with fame and recognition.

Altogether, I like the private low key life I am currently living too much and I also wouldn't want to trade all of my free time away just for recognition and a life of drama and publicity. I would much rather strive for a successful life without the fame. The drawbacks off fame are just a huge turn off for the type of person I am, not to mention they don't align with the things I value most in life.

I actually have everything planned out:
In about six to eight years, you are going to see me as the most famed YouTube gamer/comedian of all time.
I will even surpass PewDiePie in views and subscribers as I also perform for various theatres, Disney, and maybe even Broadway.
Heck, who knows, maybe I'll even run for president when I'm old and lame!

But until then, I just manage my FB meme page, work on a novel part time, and keep acting in the drama club to keep building that local reputation.

I like the idea of being famous in certain groups, like YouTube, gaming, and musical theatre while still living in a neighbourhood in relative anonymity,
just not so famous as to be involved in the tabloids, Star Magazine, or all the Hollywood baloney like Madonna, Chris Evans, Katy Perry, etc.

But before I meet my end, I do want to leave a big influence on the world- my name will be taught in schools and included in History Channel specials...

I do see what you guys are getting at about the whole deal, but I'm willing to accept such things.
But right now, I'm just enjoying life and education low-key...

Nah not really. I'd hate it if people would recognize me on the streets and come up to me to "take a selfie" or whatever.
I'm the most socially awkward person on the planet so I probably couldn't handle that.

No. Why would I want people knowing every aspect of my business? If I want to walk into a Hardee's and have something to eat,I do not want "quasi reporters" aka jerks with camera phones documenting it and selling it to TMZ or a tabloid. Fame is smothering and will drive people insane.

I actually do not want to be famous. I imagine it being like being on Vizzed (for me) but on an extremely large scale. Like here, less people care, but there are always ass-kissers coming by trying to get your approval.

In real life, I can imagine it being far more annoying, since not only do they have access to social medias, but also because I think people would find out where I lived, and try to stalk me.

I would only like to be famous if the reason for being famous is a good one. No, I would not want to become infamous and nor would I want to have a notorious reputation even if that ultimately leads to fame. Fame comes with a price, but I wouldn't mind it if it was for a reason or a cause that I deem to be worthy.

Yes but not so much celebrity famous as just being really well known for what you do. Kind of like the kind of fame that authors or journalists get.

Naw, I don't think being famous would suite me. While I am very self-conscious about public perception of me, I just feel like having that constant eye on me, not really having time to myself... I don't think I could do it, and I would eventually just lose my mind. 

Being Famous is one of those controversial things for me imo.   

Like yeah, it's great your well known, people look up to you, but at the sametime I'm one of those folks that tend to get nervous around others I don't know.


I just think all that attention and the other possible factors that can happen might just stress me out,  nothing against anyone out there; just my spin on the whole situation.

Like it has already been said, fame is a double edge sword. If I became famous, I know after a while, I would be annoyed at everyone bothering me. Of course I want to be famous for something good that I did. I mean I am a Youtuber, if I became famous from that, then great. There are many people that become famous over really bad things. I mean in this day and age, memes are made out of really "sh**" people. Look at that "Cash me ousside how bow dah?!" girl. She is a mess, and she's only 13 years old. She has a bad road ahead for her, and the sad part is her mother is ok with it, because her mother is getting the attention as well.

I know that I would want my time away from the fame, and time to myself, and very few people around, either close friends and family, but then there will be times I'd like to meet new people. Although in reality, I don't see me getting famous at all. If so, that would be just crazy as hell.
