Stupidity is a thing we all hear of too commonly. Often, people use it as an insult when someone makes a mistake or incorrect judgement of some situation. Other times it is used to refer to people who seemingly lack "common sense". A word that used to go hand in hand with this one was "R*-tard". It was jokingly used in the same manner to refer to both a lack of common sense and a mentally disabled person. Nowadays, the word is considered offensive. Taking that into account, what truly counts as acting stupid? (NOTE: and do not tell me: "It's stupid creating a thread asking what counts as stupid because that's just stupid coming from you". ) Personally, I think ignorance and impulsiveness to a dangerous degree leads to an action best considered stupid. 

A lot of people actually misuse a whole lot of words every day of their lives, and I'm sure that includes me, as well. There's really nothing wrong with the word retarded or retard if used in correct context and the only reason it carries a negative or crude connotation is because of people misusing it in a malicious manner. Stupidity and ignorance are very commonly and erroneously used interchangeably when they don't really have a lot to do with each other. Ignorance is the state of unknowing. For example: if I decide to go for a walk through a field without the thought that someone else owns the property ever crossing my mind, I'm ignorant of the fact that I'm trespassing. To me, stupidity and pride go hand in hand. To think yourself superior to another without any reasoning, to believe yourself to always be correct and never at fault and getting yourself in trouble as a result of dismissing anyone else's advice, is stupid. In short, elitism and willful ignorance is stupidity.

Something stupid would be something that lacks intelligence or common sense. This is clearly described in dictionaries, and can be applied to everything. For instance, the Harambe meme is stupid for the sole fact that it lacks intelligence. It is inane, lacking wit, and is based off of the illogical concept of memeing "because memes".

What counts as stupid? well....here is what I think. When popular people look down on people who are not so fortune enough. because of how they may seem of what they do they will be called stupid maybe it can be to do with appearances. Like most people can pick on others due to their appearances calling them stupid or other names. Or it could be that someone isn't smart enough and gets either called dumb or stupid. That is what I know from my experiences to do with things. What really counts as stupid really it can be to do with anything. Or when someone bullies a person in a school and people end up pointing to that person saying your stupid. Or another thing is a confession when a person does a brave confession to a girl he loves, and gets laughed at.....on top of that being called stupid. This will embarrass the person who confessed.

Stupidity is the lack of capacity to understand. Someone is stupid if they, literally, cannot understand. So if someone refuses to bathe because they don't understand the benefits of hygiene, they might be ignorant (they simply don't know the benefits or aren't convinced, but still have the capacity to understand) or they are stupid (they literally cannot understand how hygiene impacts health).

Well, the biggest sign of stupidity is the lack of common sense, or, which I have seen a lot in many people, people who feel that common sense doesn't apply to them.

Things that you feel like are stupid and still someone does those things thinking they aren't stupid at all.. Example if I were an US citizen and my neighbor would vote that Dumb fellow.. I mean Trump guy, that would be very stupid... Savvy?

I believe the definitions of stupid and ignorant are different.

Stupid-Someone that cannot understand anything due to damage to their brains and they cannot help their condition.

Ignorant-Someone who knows better,but chooses to remain uneducated or perform something that they have no business doing.
