Actually, 71 points isn't that big a gap. You could easily do it if you put up just 18 points a day. I'm largely done "competing", and yoshi hasn't scored a lot recently.

cox slows down allowing TheGr8M80s to finally pull away a bit thanks to the efforts of yuna. Now having effectively, completely turned around their chance of winning. Meanwhile gamer attacks again to score a respectable 17 points to secure that place. It looks too late to go for that 3rd place, being as much of a race against time as against other competitors at this point... Besides that everyone else died again, so... RIP them.

It's a suprisingly inactive day this late into the competition where most teams remain scoreless, including the top 2 teams TheGr8M80s and ok seemingly having burned out, meaning the lead remains unaltered. What's the TdV? becomes the top scoring team of the day being the only team that really seems to put in much effort ironically, with leggy pulling the load by getting 12 points and mohammed helping by getting a green jersey.Other than that  gamer barely earns 2 points further securing his 4th place lead which is now up to 20 points. That should be enough with only 3 days of competition left. Who will win remains the only big question at the moment with only 10 points separating the teams but we may see that answered soon enough.

Another day passes and the competition approaches the end. A very strong performance by Yuna sees TheGr8M80s seemingly securing 1st place. While ok could still win it would require a very strong effort at this point and with cox seemingly having given up on the team competition, it seems like the winner might finally have been settled. In other news both What's the TdV and gamer vs the world further increase the gap from them to the other teams. While the competiton isn't over yet, at this point the placings finally seem mostly set in stone.

The max amount of points available to a team in any given day is 28+16+12=56.

There are two days left, counting today which is almost over, for a total of 112 points.

It is possible, therefor, for a team starting today to get fourth place, or for "ok" to take the lead.

I think that's interesting.

legacyme3 : Not saying that it's impossible, just that it's highly unlikely at this point, especially looking at the performance of ok as a team where it has almost been exclusively Cox scoring points past the first few days and he seems to have more or less given up at this point.

I will say though that I do think it's interesting that its managed to stay this close throughout and it isn't over yet so who knows, perhaps something surprising could happen. It wouldn't be the first time this team competition takes an unexpected turn.

Well, to be fair when I joined this team ZT was saying she intended to go for the overall win. I don't blame her for not going through with it or anything, but that was part of my reason for picking the team I did. And Jygin led me to believe she would at least put some effort into it, though I can't say I'm surprised she didn't...

But it's cool either way. I wasn't exaggerating when I said I'd given up on winning the team competition after about 2 weeks in or so. And like I said in the other TdV thread, I was going out of my way to not compete so other users would win some Jerseys, so I wasn't going to bother scoring points for this while also trying to not win the Jerseys.

And besides, wouldn't it hurt your "coolness level" to be on a team with a try-hard like me? XD

Just as things seemed like they were going to calm down, Eniitan makes her grand return and gets the last laugh by unleashing her wrath on the scoreboards. With over 50 points now separating TheGr8M80s, 1st place is nearly mathematically secured and ok shows no sings of life. Both What's the TdV and gamer vs the world see leggy and gamer respectively, trying to gain a few more points for the team. Finally Procrasti-Nation seems to try to make a comeback but it seems like it will be too late at this point for it to make a difference. Lastly LES BAGELS! and Hellspawn remain still seemingly satisfied with their respective performances.

During the last day of the competition only TheGr8M80s scores, seemingly doing a victory lap while the other teams are scoreless.  With that TheGr8M80s win the team competition following a month long race with ok and with the anti anti team What's the TdV grabbing a distant 3rd place.
