The purpose of this thread is to show off the customization options that users have over their own threads now.

I think this will be great for game reviews and game guides. Great for game reviews since the user can make the page resemble the game. Great for game guides because it gives a user more control over the look of their guide with the ability to add content boxes to the page.

Looking good, can't wait to see new reply page up and running after this at some point.

Will users have options to disable these thread layouts if they wanted just in case one of them is hard on the eyes? I could see it getting abused with animated graphics or indecent photos. Maybe it should be an exclusive feature for higher ranks or even patrons if it becomes an issue.

JigSaw : If it becomes a problem, then I can add limitations. Users do have to pay a small Viz fee to alter the look of their thread so that might help prevent abuse. I could also consider making it so that a user can disable customized threads and forums eventually.

Eirinn : Unfortunately I don't have a ton of stuff left planned since I'll be getting a full time job in about 10 days but I'm glad to have got this project taken care of since it has been a huge project and one that I probably would not have tackled while having a full time job. The thread pages were definitely one of the trickiest pages to migrate to the new site code.

Don't know if this is just me but I like the cloudy background versus the original vizzed background lol XD.


Although I'd wouldn't recommend it at all for reviews.   Using it to resemble a game might be okay, but at the same time It can probably cause a problem amongst users reading the review provided, the user isn't using a custom layout.

Only thing though is that it would make more sense if you only gave thread owners "Page Staff" powers for their own threads instead of "Page Admin" powers. The main reason is because you can add/remove mods/admins for your own threads but it doesn't actually do anything other than make you gain CP and lose Viz. (I tried it out and that's what happened)

Other than that, let's see how cool things can get with these awesome new features.
