Hey, everyone! I got an awesome idea of which can be used to help the site staying alive.

The idea is merchandising. Yes. I've seen plenty of YouTubers who were able to let subscribers buy t-shirts with the YouTuber's print(s) on it. And i don't know if this idea is already suggested or been used before, but if it is... Never mind this thread then. But i think David can use the money the site receives for something like that to actually... well... do what he would do with donations as well.

I got another idea while typing that part: A mix-up. If you donate, maybe you can still get Viz and CP? Or a t-shirt or something? Or both? Also, if i could, i would demonstrate the idea by showing the site and stuff. Unfortunately, my parents and i don't pay money to online sites. So i can't use the idea for demonstration. 

I just thought about one thing, though. How does the real life item come to you? That's something i didn't quite figure yet, but i can't know every possible way. The only way i thought of is sending it to the address of the donating person.

Tell me, what do you think of this? I'm curious what people think of the idea. But if this thread is overused... Go ahead and close it.

This is actually a good idea. I would know about that, but it depends really if the people will be willing. They should I hope since this would be a place of where they get to play their favourite rgr games. This could really work if planned out very well. ^^

The cost to make all of this stuff wouldn't really pan out unless tons of people bought them.

This has been suggested, but in order to make enough of all of that stuff, it would cost a lot. Buying in bulk would be the only way to get a fair price, and that's too much of an investment. 

He'd actually lose money by giving away shirts to donors as the funds would be coming out of the donation (not only would price of shirt be deducted but also shipping fees). There is probably some sort of initial investment fee involved in merch as well but it depends on where or who is doing the printing.

I'm also not so sure he can print trademarked or copyrighted materials (example pokemon or nintendo shirts) without one of them getting angry and suing him over it.  

It's not a bad idea we just need to find a place that would assist in printing or creating the merch.

The idea's been tossed around a couple of times since I've been here and likely many times before. It would be pretty hard to come up with something that defines the site without borrowing copyrighted material, as VizzedFan has stated, and lets be honest with ourselves here... There's really no market for it. I mean, it's a cool idea, but Vizzed doesn't generate near as much buzz as the popular YouTubers do. We're more of an overgrown cult following than anything else.

As far as Viz and CP for donations go, you already get Viz for donating. I don't think CP should be allowed to be bought, though.

The only way to get the merch would be by mailing and that can get ridiculously expensive, especially so if we're talking about shipping over seas, not to mention the hassle of getting everything through customs. I've read horror stories about people trying to ship things to Canada, let alone The UK, western Europe, Russia, etc.

It's a nice thought and good effort to get outside the box and come up with something but I'm not going to participate. I don't need shirts, or bumper stickers, or anything that's merchandis-y related to Vizzed.com
