Guess I'll weigh in my opinion on your trust points situation, trust points in my opinion don't represent being "nice" I feel as though they represent if your a regular board member that follows the rules and is helpful towards other users both new and old, and doesn't spam or cause trouble or offend other users rather it being through sarcastic replies to posts or just  coming off as being rude to others(which some of your posts do come across as sarcastic and kinda rude but entertaining), basically just tone down on being sarcastic and kind of a smart ass and you'll probably get them back but it's a little clear you wan't some positive TP since you took the time to post about being in the negatives (which usually attracts the wrong type of attention and posting about TP usually doesn't produce the desired results)  but anyways since you don't necessarily care I guess about getting out of the negatives or TP in general why post about it?

No negatives in my House,   This Rebellion must be stopped and crushed.




Beyond Just joking to the OP,  I have to say the Trust Point system is more or less flawed.Some people will hide behind it and just down-rate you for zero reasons.

Trust Points come and go and people can be as fickle as the wind. I would not stress over it.

All this thread really does is point out how pointless Trust Points truly are...

mrkoolnerd : By having trust points subtracted from you. Only site staff and higher ranks are able to do that (starting with -1tp for staff -2 for mods etc). In specific cases its been used as a punishment as in an alternative to banning some people. I try to refrain from doing it and have only downrated one person on the site being someone who had a long record of rule breaking, but some staff+ seem to use it on their own accord frequently. Perhaps because there's so many staff+ members now compared to how it was in the past makes it bound to happen more.

Divine Aurora : I debated for a while about even posting anything at all. Someone was trying to make a point to me by giving me negative Trust Points and I thought long and hard about a response, if any, and how it would go.

The original objective was tongue-in-cheek and I was making a joke at the expense of that person. I was saying they were trying to irritate me or bother me and I just enjoyed what happened.

Then things spiraled out of control. Somehow I've netted TP which is fine because that's how people choose to reward me or show recognition or something. That's cool and I appreciate the effort.

And then the other comments popped up and a line was drawn in the sand.

Was that the intent? Not at all, Divine. All I was doing was having a laugh. I guess I didn't realize the hot topic of TP and the almost emotional response that followed. Wasting my breath, having the edginess of a triangle, I should go back to playing games. I'm blown away at how people responded.

Anyway, thanks sharing for your point of view. I like to hear what others think.

ZeeTee : I laughed when I saw it happen. I wasn't expecting an outpouring of support but I guess enough people wanted to click for whatever their reasoning. I won't argue with a vocal majority. If they think I should get my mitts on a new forum, sweet. Maybe my participation will encourage others. Maybe I'll lose the points once everyone really sees what I have to say.
