Mednafen now able to accept Sega Saturn

Hey everyone I have awesome news some may have heard, but just in case there are those that have not I will bring the news here, MEDNAFEN is now able in beginning stages able to play Sega Saturn games, yes you heard that right the once almost near technically impossible system can now be played in the Mednafen emulator. And with that brings quite a slew of some amazing games with it. If you haven't tried the Sega Saturn I would seriously look into their games there are quite the few gems on that system.

I wasn't able to ever play them again like it will download, and stuff. But, the screen for me would just stay black I tried other Saturn games, and the same thing happened. Sadly there was no solution for me to fix the problem so I stopped playing, and it did leave me very sad. So I think there is some hope in this for me if it works.....

I think it's exciting to have Mednafen for Saturn games, hopefully the compatibility will be better than MESS.

tRIUNE : Please tell me if, and when this gets added onto vizzed one day because this can really help me. I don't know if you remember before I said I had trouble with it months ago? Since Mednafen works very well for me this can be my lucky break! I can finally play Saturn games, and if that was to happen then carry on what plans I had for them before. ^^

I just saw this a few days ago and was very excited about it. There aren't many good Saturn emulators out there and since Mednafen offers netplay support for the systems that it emulators, it's very possible that the Sega Saturn games will finally have a netplay solution. A lot of great games I'd love to netplay, especially Saturn Bomberman which I think is the greatest Bomberman game ever made (and it supports up to 10 players!).

I'm not sure if this will ever get added to the RGR Plugin though since I'm not sure if the RGR Plugin will ever get updated again and here's why:
1. I just don't have any money to spare anymore and the RGR Plugin updates usually cost me $100s and $1000s.
2. Tom, the RGR Plugin developer, might not have the latest source code anymore.

Basically the idea I have is that you'd download a 2nd program (optionally) which would add or modify files to the current installation as a way to update things. Of course that would also require a lot of money which might not be possible for a long time but at least there's some hope that Saturn netplay could make its way to Vizzed someday.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
