ooo Nice pictures! I'm having some difficulties trying to understand the very last picture though. Would you mind explaining what's going on in the illustration with the beach and water (sorry in advance if it's not a beach)? ^^

I like the pictures, but I'm in the same boat as Yuna here. I'm not really sure what's going on in number 4 ( and only have a vague guess at number 2 ). Any way, these are really cool and unique illustrations

thanks for the feedback! they're not really meant to be understood but i appreciate the curiosity lol. to answer the question you have in common, number 4 is a dream i had three nights ago, and it was super vague so explaining it is going to be a bit difficult haha. i wasn't myself in the dream - i was the ginger boy in the drawing, and there was some black-haired girl in a ponytail with me at some points. it was one of those dreams in which you don't control ANYTHING (not even your own actions) and for some reason i remember thinking "ah, i'm in that famous kids' story." in the dream only, i recognized the characters and setting and situation and concluded that i was in a well-known children's tale that only existed in my dream. weird, huh? anyway, it was kind of all over the place really, and i remember being yelled at at some points until i couldn't hear that well anymore. towards the end i saved someone (could have been the girl) from a river and when i arrived at the riverbank i abruptly started coughing blood as if i were in dragon ball z or some noise and i thought "oh this is the part where he dies haha nope" so i woke myself up .

mynamescox, the dream that the second picture is about was even more vague xD. it was rather short, but it started out as pretty normal. it was more odd than outright scary, tbh, but towards the end i could tell its tone was changing and i didn't want to find out what was going to happen next so i woke myself up. i do that a lot hehe. i'm pretty lucky i can tell when i'm dreaming (even though it's only at the end)! the scary part was that it was realistic, and at first i thought it was just a normal morning and that i was waking up. the dream began with me "waking up," getting out of bed, and then leaving my room. the thermostat said it was 11:75 AM (this is when things started seeming kinda "off") and for some reason i decided to go downstairs because i would find my dad there. the closer i got to his room, though, the more i could feel the atmosphere changing. i think it actually got darker (like, literally) with every step and i felt like something bad happened to him and i didn't want to find out what it was so that's when i woke up. i guess it was more "uncomfortable" than anything else, and it was more about dreading the inevitable since i didn't let it progress to the point where it could have been worse .

NintendoFanKimmy : Ohh I thought that might have been what was happening but I couldn't be sure because there was always the possibility that someone was having an intense nose-bleeding session... ^^0 If it makes any sense, when I looked more closely at the object on the sand to the right, it suddenly looked like the person's hand, so I thought maybe they'd lost a limb somehow. D= In any case, thank you very much for taking the time to explain it all. XD (Yeah, wondering about the significance of Picture #4 would probably have kept me from sleeping... lol =P )

If I tried to illustrate my 1 nightmare that I had a while back it would just be my house being destroyed by a giant tornado with my family trapped inside trying desperately to get out

I wouldn't want to make that since it would be boring but this wasn't boring

At least you're lucky enough to realize you're dreaming lol. Every single dream I have is one where I'm basically just watching through my own eyes with no control, and never realizing it's actually a dream until it's over. They're always so realistic there's almost never any thing for me to notice it's not actually reality. Doesn't exactly give me much chance to try and wake my self up

There's maybe been one or two exceptions to this ( and one time I actually managed to wake my self up, but it was more so just me in side the dream thinking to my self " oh god, please let this be a dream. wake up! wake up! wake up! " lol ). 

I've heard things about "lucid dreaming" ( I think that's the right name for it any way ) and would really love to learn how to do it. I need to try and find some information about it online and see if that can't help with the problems I have been having with it.

Mynamescox44 : yeah lucid dreaming sounds really cool. i've read about it quite a bit myself, actually, and i try to do it once in a while but definitely not every night. that's because it involves continually thinking to yourself "i'm going to lucid dream" as you fall asleep and that puts you at risk of sleep paralysis, which is what happens when there's some kind of lag during the transition between different sleep stages. it's when your mind is still as alert as it would be during the day but your body is in the sleep process. almost always accompanied by scary figures. not a fun experience .

NintendoFanKimmy :  Whoa, wow! XD The dream just got even more intriguing! Any chance we could hear about that part of the story as well? I'm guessing the hand belongs to the girl that the guy saved, but since you mentioned Dragon Ball Z, it could also be that the guy was fighting someone...

Also, would you mind if I eventually posted a few dreams here, too (even if the pictures aren't as lovely as yours? lol )? ^^ I love the topic of dreams and your idea of illustrating them is brilliant. XD

Holy cow, that's creepy. Oh well, i can sleep even though i've seen this.

Anyway, nice job, Kimmy! As usual, it looks fan-tas-tic! (Fanta-stick?) I was illustrating my dreams overall too, and i've been thinking very, very hard what dreams i've had as well. (Hint: drawing Mickey Mouse isn't easy. )

Here's what i meant. WARNING: May be a bit too shocking for people, and is not suitable for everyone.

Good drawing. I'm not too shabby with the MS Paint myself and I might throw something together to see how it's received by the community.

I especially liked Dream Number 2 up there. My eyeballs caught the 11:75 and I thought, "Oooh, very subtle." You don't have to wave a giant alien or monster in front of me to see the bit of weirdness going on there. It's not all about specific scary things. I really liked it. It's the slowly growing discomfort and eerie feeling you get that builds and builds that makes it more scary that gets to me. A guy with a knife is no big deal. A situation where you know it's not right but you don't know why is much more terrifying.

Lastly, the socks on Dream Number 2 are done really well. I'm extremely impressed at your talent to make the simple images so accurate. That's good artistic skills and it's something I don't have so I bow my head and applaud your abilities.
