After seeing the trailer for the new Skyrim Remaster, and having some time to ponder on it, I realised that I am pretty hyped for this game. I put about 500+ hours into the regular skyrim so I am excited to hop back in with even more beautiful visuals. I played the regular version on console so I wasn't introduced to the endless amount of mods that are offered to players. But I am building a PC so I will be able to experience the game the best way. Are you excited for the game? Do you think its worth it if you already bought skyrim? 

This is how I see it. It is not Elder Scrolls 6. Therefore I am not hyped for the game. I already have Skyrim and I do not want to pay for it again. That would really just be wasting money.

awesomeguy279 : That is basically saying every remaster is a waste of money though...  And I see what your getting at, everyone wants a new elder scrolls. But to make The skyrim remaster you know it didn't take to much time, all they really needed to do was port the game from the older engine they used for skyrim to the newer version of the engine. And yes its as simple as that lol. And make a few minor changes. Plus add in a mod downloading server. It didn't really take anytime and if they are working on a new elder scrolls it wouldn't really effect its production at all. 

I am though mostly because of the situation I'm in. I also put 500+ hours into the original on the Xbox 360. While the main narrative isn't that compelling to me it is one of the most immersive games I've played. Infact I played it so much that my disc broke. I have that itch to play it again and get the platinum on PS4 so I've been wanting a port for a while now. What probably really makes the remaster worth getting for me though is the fact that all the DLC will be included which I never had a chance to try on the original. It will also be compatible with mods which I never got much of a chance to try either since I played the console version. The upped resolution is mostly a cool little bonus to me, though it would be nice if they aim for making it run at 60fps.

It's not Elder Scrolls 6, but that will come eventually and I'm willing to wait for it if it means that they're taking their time with it. Hoping that turns out better than Fallout 4 did which honestly disappointed me and felt rushed in a lot ways.

Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Online, Skyrim..... wait... what?

Skyrim isn't near old enough to remaster... If they were going to do anything, it should've been a remake of Morrowind or Oblivion. Doing so would've pulled either cult following and, if done correctly, would've been exceptionally well received just out of hype and nostalgia.

Remastering Skyrim is like remastering Resident Evil 6....

I`m glad its getting the remaster treatment but they need to lower the price down or its not really worth it.

Something that should be known, but isn't, is that there is no actual Skyrim remaster confirmed. It was just in the trailer for the sake of advertising the system further. It got people excited for the Switch, so I guess that the feature of the game did its job. But yeah, it's not actually confirmed.
That's not to say that it never will come to the console, because it is possible, but there's nothing saying that it will or won't.

My friend got the game for free on Steam so I saw a bit about it, but I probably won't be getting it for steam. I might get it for the switch if it's as good as both seem.

Also there are many charts online of what new 3rd party developers are coming to work with Nintendo. So who knows? Maybe it starts with Sky rim and ends with something that is triple A price (that is not smash brothers of course).
