Can you also clarify the "Bumping" rule? I don't think I have ever seen a clear answer on the forums about whether or not this is allowed (or when it is allowed). But there is a clear answer on this page https://www.vizzed.com/boards/controlpanel.php?category=help&help=faq

But I'm wondering if that information on that page is a little outdated or not (since people still seem to hate it or apologize for bumping threads sometimes). There are also some people who bring up the "bumping rule" the same way the "sandwich posting rule" is brought up. Thanks and sorry if this is a dumb question.

Mohammedroxx3 : the bumping rule is much like this rule. There is a coding system in place where threads are closed automatically after 6 months of inactivity. Now I think 6 months is a really long time but the site already handles this situation for us.

If a thread is still open then you are free to post in it. Now, the caveat to that is you still need to be on topic and relevant. If people simply post in a thread that hasn't been posted in for 3 months to say "I agree, this sounds great" then save your post because that is borderline spam. As long as the post adds to the conversation then by all means make the post.

Lexatom : that existed along with this rule. The assumption is that the staff will be more responsible about how they post than newer members are likely to be. It's not always the case obviously but I imagine it's true in more cases than not.
