Welcome to Mafiatale! This forum is dedicated to the playing of the forum game “mafia” and its many variants. The rules for behavior, etc. are posted below.

1. Be excellent to each other

This is the main rule. Mafia is by nature silly, ridiculous fun. Let’s not eat each other alive, but keep things civil. When you take the fun out of mafia, you’re left with a contentious mess. Keep things fun by treating each other well!

2. Don’t post where and when you should not.

If you’re not a part of a game or are no longer a part of it, don’t post in the game’s thread. This is an important rule that is necessary to keep order and the flow of each game. If you do break this rule, your post will be edited, you will be warned, and you’ll possibly be banned from future mafia games, depending on your behavior (NOT by whether or not you mess up again..although we do expect you to try your best all the time, no pressure ).

3. Pay attention to the rules of each game.

When rules are broken, it rarely ends up well until major corrections are made. Do your best to read and keep the rules. THIS IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE. You may not be barred from future games, but breaking the rules can set back a game or ruin it completely. If it is seen/known that you are not sorry for such an offense, you will be banned from mafia games for a time up to our discretion.

4. Please notify us immediately when you notice someone is breaking the rules

If you notice anyone breaking the rules or you believe someone may be doing so, please notify us immediately. We will take care of the situation. Don’t attempt to correct the person you think is breaking the rules. Let us take care of that. We'll take care of the situation as soon as we can.

5. Have fun!

That’s what this is all about. Spare no effort (pun intended) to have fun!

pennylessz : I've never seen a Bill & Ted movie, actually But I do very much like that line.

supernerd117 : The first Bill & Ted was hilarious but I don't know if it will survive the aging it has gone through. It perfectly encapsulates the surfer/pot head mindset and action selection of the 1980s. It's a pure 80s movie and it might not work for a younger generation. You can give it a shot though. It's fun.

The second movie.... yuck. Avoid it at all costs.

Ghostbear1111 : So, it's basically a parody that pokes fun at a stereotype movies exploited heavily in the 80s?

supernerd117 : Exactly that. And it's just the right amount of parody. It is not like Airplane! or any of the movies that are being super obvious about what they're making fun of. It's very subtle and bad enough to be good. Again, watch it and judge it from your point of view. It should work for you because, why not?

Ghostbear1111 : I'll check it out, but I don't have any money to spend right now. I suppose I should have watched it back when it was on Netflix...but I don't think I would have translated the content well back then. I would definitely not have seen it as a parody, and would have passed it off as a crude, unfunny thing. I'll see it one of these days once I get some money from some form of work.

I personally think Bill and Ted is one of those movies where you huddle up on the couch with hot cocoa made from a crock pot that you let simmer on low for 8 hours.
