Hmmm, I would be Yu from Persona 4. I can;t do anything myself, but I can call on my Persona, and I know he's really good at jumping, and pretty big actually, so if he can't jump, I might have a shot at getting out if I just climbed up his back.

Oh yea, I could get out easy. Dante from the Devil May Cry franchise is a boss.

If the pits round, I could run fast enough to gradually work my way up the walls running in circles (running with feet against the wall itself). As long as the pit wasn't incredibly wide, I could just jump back and forth between the walls and work my way up. If all else fails, I have 2 hand guns I always keep on me, and have the strength to use them as anchors to slowly climb my way out of the pit, lodging them into the walls one by one pulling myself up on my way out. And I'd get out of the hole with maybe just the slightest bit of dirt on me, and probably make a joke about how falling in the hole in the first place was one heck of a "trip."
